- Thanks, Steve
10/07/2011 | 8:39 PMNot much else to say that hasn’t been said better elsewhere.
I really started creating digital content once I got my first Mac, a now ancient PowerBook G4 (clocked slower than my current phone, imagine that). I first got into Flash games by creating stopmotion animation, and I got into that because I enjoyed video editing, thanks to in no small part by Apple’s focus on media creation with iLife and FireWire (an utter God-sent during the time of DV cameras).
So here’s to (as The Onion playfully puts it) the last American who knew what the heck he was doing.

The iPad is epic win. Maybe I’ll finally answer my massive backlog of emails (sorry everyone who’s emailed me recently!).

11/07/2009 | 9:25 PMSorry for the utter lack of updates on World 3 (though that seems to be the norm nowadays, eh?), keep a heads up, though, Ill be posting some new footage sometime tonight or tomorrow
Good stuff, I promise.
- yay animating

I’ve been adding all the engine refinements from ME2D back into FPA. Crazy how much better the game looks with character rotational smoothing. No more jitters, yay!
Fancy Pants Man now has 3 separate run cycles, want to add a whole bunch of different jumps too. I’m nuts. Got a lot of animating ahead of me. Good thing I love animating.
- Hi, I’m a mac… USER.

Here’s something that bugs me to no end. I am not Justin Long, you are not John Hodgeman.
Apple uses actors to represent their products, Mircrosoft defines their users by what products they buy. Huge difference there.

- Fancy Metroid

So when I’m not doing concept work for World 3, I’ve been playig Super Metroid. Never beat it before, so I figured I should buy it from the Wii VC and do just that. Amazing game. So, I’ve gotten a few emails and such asking about puzzle elements in FPA, nothing overpowering, but what would you guys think of some sort of level or character progression in World 3?

Hey guys, so I’m trying out a new sidebar thingy, something that would allow me to make smaller posts that don’t push down more important posts (like pictures of various pets on my shoulders).
What do you think of the idea? Is the site too thick now? Should I just sell my soul and finally get a twitter to place up here?

@peterw: What a random post to put your feedback on :/
i agree with @peterw that wood be rly kool. maybe not the guns though but good thought
I would LOVE the multiplayer room! anyway, i was going to say that Google is about to join the competition between Mac and Microsoft. I wonder when GooglePC comes out, but they’re doing EVERYTHING they can to beat the other two.
@powerkid360: Well, Google has ChromeOS, which is absolutely nothing but a browser, so it’s really not an OS at all. They also have Android, which runs a browser, and native 3rd party software. So why would I get a laptop that does nothing but browse the web when I can get an iPad or any other tablet that does a million things more? Or, well, just a netbook running Ubuntu or Windows 7 or anything else.
Heh, Google, Apple, and MS have been in competition for a LONG time now. Android, iOS, Windows phones; Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer; Google search / ads / Admob, iAds, Bing…
@Brad: That’s actually ChromiumOS if you don’t mind. And it’s a cloud browser (see Jolicloud), so it IS different.
Android if of course the Google thinga-jigger for the iPhone OS (possibly Win7 Mobile).
Plus I got to say that even if I haven’t used Android as much as iOS, it is more stable. And hey, it’s not a Mac machine standardization (which means that if one machine lags, all other does too…)
IMO, until Cloud apps get better and this world get’s a complete internet coverage, ChromiumOS is a little.. Ambitious.
A ‘cloud browser’? You do understand that ‘teh cloud’ is the internet, right? Since when did you need a special browser to access Google Apps? (the ‘cloud’ part of ChromiumOS, a nicer way of saying you can’t download anything.
I have Chromium on a virtual machine in VMWare, anyone can download it, but it’s SLOW.
More stable? Can’t say I ever found iOS to be less than stable (well, okay, the first big update was, when they made room for 3rd party apps and cleaned the entire thing up from being an OS X hack job). Not sure what you mean by lags, Apple updates their products in different cycles…
I do like Android, though. I just wish it wasn’t a complete rip off of the iPhone, and more like what WM7 is trying to do (yeah, I know, MS finally innovates somethin, what’s up with that?? :O ).
I WANT TO PLAY FANCY PANTS ADVENTURES 3
I cant beleave this argument is still going on, Apple pulled way ahead with Tiger and the iPhone, headsniped Microsoft with Lepard and the iPhone 3GS, then they peed on the dead body with the iPhone 4, 3 TB/16-core MacPro & the Beatlesā on iTunes, and you don’t wanna know what their doin to the body with the Verizon iPhone and their next OS (probably Couger).
Well, the argument wasn’t really actively going on, haha. And the next OS X is Lion…
I’d of thought they’d save THE BIG ONE for the last in the X line
