Sorry about the double post, but I just worked something else out!

You get the thing that says "bye!" when you go out ether exit. You sometimes need to resize the window to see it though. Also the it is not always backwards. If faith is facing right when she exits then it is forwards, if she is facing left it is backwards.

Thanks.

I tried resizing the window your right it's really nice. I think I found a few weird things when I was resizing the screen.

1:Right before you get to the orange billboard as you run over the curvy ramp if you look down there are little ledges on the wall below you. You can't get to them and they don't seem to be going anywhere, but maybe in the full game?

2: out side of the regular viewing area, at the very beginning of the level you can see the help text. you need to resize the window a lot to see it but it is interesting.

Haha, nice find! It does say "bye!" backwards. I think that's a little easter egg that Brad added (it's probably Faith saying "bye!" to the guard dude). XD

And one thing I like to do in full screen is resizing the window, so you can see more vertically. It really gives a feel of how large and vertical the level is.

Hey I don't know if any one is still reading that topic but i think it's the right place for this post (I might put this up on another topic too.) Anyway so if you play the full screen version of MD 2D (here is the like http://www.bornegames.com/MirrorsEdge2Dbeta12b.swf )and go to the room that has the guy with the gun in it and go to the exit, you will see the letters "yd" off the screen. I am not sure what it means, I think it is the end of a word that is not supposed to be seen. also the first time I saw it i had already went though the room once so the counter at the top of the screen (one for the file) said "1/1" but after I came back the file was there? When I got it the counter said "2/1". I could not get this to happen afterward though. Can any one else get this to happen?

I guess that makes sense. Although I don't quite get it doing the calculations more times. It'll still just do it once, but it'd have some more pixels to display on screen. Which shouldn't make it lag that much anyway...

Oh right, Flash uses vectors? Really?
I can notice a drop in quality when the flash games are enlarged. It shouldn't do that if it's in vectors. And even if it were, the computer will technically be doing the same calculations (for lines etc.) and the lag should be practically unnoticeable.

Some people inmport bitmaps into flash. Check FPA: The backgrounds get pixelated, but FPM doesn't.

And it would be doing the same calculations, but more thimes, since there are more pixels to display. And since some vector art usually has LOTS of lines, it would lag more.

Not with flash, my friend. Flash uses vector images.
It actually "calculates" the image, via parabools etc.
So it has to do slight more calculation with bigger images.

It shouldn't lag anymore than it does no matter the size. Since what happens is it just gets more pixelated. It's sorta like enlarging a bitmap image.

This game is all about Tom Fulp's commitment to not shave his face until his next console game, Castle Crashers, is completed. It's a ridiculously over-the-top arcade boss battle that is well worth your time. We hope you enjoy it and discover the secret character!

Did we mention that Tom himself voice-acted his role in this game?

BEST PERFORMANCE: Play in Internet Explorer to see this run at full-speed!

CONTROLS:
Arrows to move
"A" button for attacks
Hold "A" to charge a special attack

"P" to pause
"M" to toggle bg music on and off

Thanks to Luis for really nailing the Castle Crasher sprites and bringing new flavor to them with his NG-themed weapons.

Thanks to Coaly who brought "The Beard" to life.

Thanks to The Swain who was kind enough to throw in a few voice clips too.

Shout out to myself for coding , doing the bg art, menus, and sounds.

Special thanks to Tom for supporting this adventure and inspiring all us flash artists to create stuff we love.
