I guess I'll just take the initiative and close it.

I'll take the fallout from it, WJUK won't have to deal with it. I agree that religion can be a dangerous topic to deal with at times and I'd rather do an overhaul on some of the forum and then figure this out.

I just think it's stupid to debate about a belief, I don't want anyone to try to change my ways and it could easily cause a bit of anger between the formumites.

While "Debating about religion" may seem like an oxymoron, I'm not sure about closing the topic just in case someone does want to talk about religion. Then again, they can always PM me again to get me to re-open it.

But a new thread could be started. A thread with a whole lot of rules in the first post. As discussing religion don't necessarily needs to be a bad thing.
Ideas for the rules? Or just a close?

Religion debates are just pointless to begin with. Everyone has their own opinion, and barely ever do they change that opinion. All debating it does is make them feel more stupid.

There are no rules you can make to avoid this. I say just close the topic all together.

I'm always willing to, and I kinda like religious debates, as long as they are kept mature and people don't go like "It's like that because I/whoever says so."

I can see where you're both coming from, and frankly if you guys want me to close this then I won't mind.

I can also close this temporarily and then reopen it only when people are willing to have a mature discussion on the issue.

Why would it be silly? Add the message that it's really bad to have a religion topic? 'cause we were flaming each other instead of properly discussing. It's really simple.

You're right, were gonna have to prepare for all our new World Three members. Possibly another mod? I dont think WJUK is gonna be able to handle it all.

If it's alive it's still a danger. I'm handling right now instead of waiting for the flood of World 3 members. It's better this way.

But what do you think of it? A closure is safer then keeping this topic. And making a new one might be stupid.

And I'd rather keep this relic safe (and closed) then let it be unclosed and dangerous.
