It's because Ninja Gaiden became much more popular than the Shinobi games. It's tragic really.

Don't even mention Ninja Failden.

The only reason I don't want a 3D Shinobi is because everyone would deem it a Ninja Gaiden ripoff, even though the first 2D Shinobi game was released before the first 2D Ninja Gaiden game, and Shinobi even went 3D before Ninja Gaiden did. But it would still be deemed a Ninja Gaiden ripoff, I can feel it.

Wow, games with ninjas in as the main protagonist (excludes ninjas that are in orange jumpsuits) tends to be hard.

Yeah. It's a sequel to the originals. I haven't played it.

The original Shinobi games are hard too.

SEGA Mega Drive (that's what we called it over here) is awesome!

I recall there being a Shinobi game on the PS2 - which was pretty hard. Like, seriously.

I cannot stress how awesome of a game this is. Revenge of Shinobi (also for the Sega Genesis) is pretty good also.

Anyone else played these games? If not, go play them. Now. NOW.

I wish Sega would make a new 2D Shinobi game. It could even be 2.5D or something, with 3D graphics, but 2D gameplay.

I'd buy it. Also, Shinobi >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Ninja Gaiden. I said it.
