Figured I've been abusing WJUK's thread long enough for this.
This thread is about the shooter I'm making, and I hope that unlike nearly all my other projects, this won't end up on the backburner.
To start, click here to play the .05 beta. The 0.51 beta will be here soon, and it will have the lag mostly fixed.
Guess it's just my dad's natural competitional urge.
How do you think the game's difficulty level is?
It's really cool, but I got GAME instead of GAME OVER xD

Lag fix + numbers can be turned off(enter).

@Rawcru: No idea how that happened... You got the latest Flash player (10) right?
And the numbers are for debugging purposes, but you can turn off most of them now.
EDIT:beta .053 There seems to be something wrong with Zymic's loading speed, so I'm using Truploader for now.

That's about the same when you have only 2 frames 
Consider this half an update, since the boss isn't done yet. Yes, the little bad-drawn floating mecha will be the first boss. As you can probably guess he will actually fire at you, instead of straigth-forward. He may even be able to dodge.
Nice, although the health isn't capped to 999. I picked up two of those health things and it knocked it up to 1099 once.
And is that what you're using my mech for? Looks awesome man!
Wow, thats really cool. Oh, btw, i dont know if you know this already, but anyways... i simultaneously died and got a flamethrower (noobish O.o) and i proceeded to see the GAME screen, but then...this: http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/9411/doragonglitch.png
then it lagged for a while until i closed it. A while later, i realized why:

it turns out that when you die, you automatically get sent up to the top lefthandmost corner, and freeze there. but if you shoot, you can see the flames. i was stuck with thte flamethrower, so it automatically FWOOSHes. 
real cool concept and i like the dragon drawing.
EDIT: and i LOVE the music. really amps up the adrenaline. whered you get it? Newgrounds? did you make it?
It can't be Sonic. There's copyright laws against that.
Not every song, some songs are royalty-free. If you use a copyrighted song without adequate permission, they have the right to pull the game/video/whatever.

@Pink: You're not getting transported there, you're just removed. But there isn't a script yet that says that you can't fire anymore when dead, and because they can't find the coordinates where to fire from (the dragon's) anymore, they fire from the the (0,0) coordinate.
@WJUK: Your mech will be a bigger boss. Most likely the final.
@Dark: What's wrong with the wings? I'm nto so good at animating, but I think that this is quite decent.
