hi everybody,

IÂ´m pretty new here, so i have no idea to make games,
exept of scratch, a game maker, but one for those who canÂ´t make good games.

but now my problem:
i wanted to make "real" games.
so, i downloaded adobe flash sc5, which brad b. recommented at the faqÂ´s
but itÂ´s just a test version for only 30 days.
if i wanna go on with it, i have to buy it for about 800 euros (iÂ´m from germany).
is this the only way to go on?!
iÂ´m in the 8th class and 800 euros are pretty much for me!!!
so please tell me if thereÂ´s another way
i hope for helpfull briefing...

I downloaded a flash 8 torrent. I'm not gonna buy anything before I know AS2 like my pockets

No piracy discussion is allowed here.

You could try and get a student version, that's only like $250. That's what I did, and it works just the same. Other than that, it's really the only legal way to get a discount. Although older versions, like CS4 or CS3, would give you the same amount of power for possibly a discount.

Yea, piracy is bad kids!

As for CS5, it is expensive and I think the student version is still a bit pricey. But if you want to make "real" games there are alternative programming languages to make games in. Unless you really want to make flash games.
That being said, it's probably harder to make games in those languages than flash.

Sorry, I didn't mean to suggest piracy, but I think that buying something before you don't know how to use it is useless, especially if you have a bad computer like mine.

Have you got a friend that has the program?

It's not technically piracy if they haven't used all their licenses. That was how I got my original Flash 8.

Well, I downloaded a torrent, but it worked for about 5 months and I had to uninstall it (like my friend, I think that version was a crappy one), then, my father's friend gave me the flash 8 CD... I didn't pay because he bought it: he is a "computer" engineer.

Pft, that's nothing. My last 2 exams were both at 9 (but I woke up at 7 to get into the labs before) and I still slept at 2/3AM.

Funny thing was I feel I aced those exams. Both 4 hour exams and I left about an hour and a half in. XD

still nothing last night i went o bed at 4, and i woke up just now....its 6:39. just subtract the 15 for getting up and brushing my teeth and turning on my computer and that like 2and hour of sleep!
