Er... ok.
I step out into the giant Colosseum of the Borne Games Forum. The crowd roars loudly as I proudly step forward. Maybe weapon of choice slung across my back was Flamelance - a legendary blade as old as time itself. It was believed to have been carved from the scales of a legendary dragon and was forged by the gods themselves as the secret weapon in the battle against evil many eons ago. I slowly moved my hand towards the handle of the Flamelance; the crowd stops in it's tracks. The Borne Games Colosseum was completely quiet, a pin drop could be heard in this majestic place. It seemed to everyone within the stadium that the Colosseum was separated from the rest of the world. A microcosm of mankind.
I unsheathed my Flamelance. It's shimmering red blade coruscated brightly in the mid-day sun. Flames drew back and forth along the blade, as though it was breathing in long gentle sighs but many knew that this was but an illusion. The Flamelance was considered cursed in some circles due to it's unwavering blood-thirst; once it makes contact with a blood of another being it reacts wildly. Often times killing it's own master if they prove not worthy enough. I knew this, but I have done this many times before and Flamelance had indeed proven itself hard to control. But not impossible.
In the hands of a skilled and veteran swordsman, the sword and master become one. When the master orders, the blade must obey. And this was no different, yet in some ways it was. It would push and push for blood and sometimes I too had felt close to losing my mind due to being affected by it's blood-thirstiness.
But that was a story for another time. As I heaved the blade upwards into the sky as a symbol that I would take all challengers into the arena. The fight was on.
I read too many books... is this OTT?

OTT = Over The Top?
And you're definetly a good and "epic" writer.

Yes OTT = Over the top.I've been told that I should write novels but I've always been too lazy. Although a few friends and I have started mocking up a movie script for some random reason (it's on the blog somewhere).

Oi. I saw that. It had something to do with Jezus, right?
And its not over the top, its "epic".
If school didnt take so much time already, I'd be writing a battle...(maybe I secretly can in class) Are we supposed to write the sequel of "me", as another fighter or another fight??Not in cruelty

Yea, it did have something to do with Jesus. You won't believe how that was concocted.
You can do whatever you want for what you write, I guess.

The first challenger stepped in the arena. This elf was named Akeaz. He was young, but brave and merciless. Before he got a clear view of his opponent, he closed his eyes and thought of his history, purpose, and destiny. His history was that he was born in a rich and succesfull family, but his youth was filled with faillure, causing everyone to either igore him, or either hate him. When his father was killed by a thief looking for the family treasure, Akeaz was blamed for it; though he was only 8 years old. He was banned from the town, send to the desert, and nearly dead when a group of nomads found him. These nomads weren't elves, so they treated him as a slave. He was only 11 when the nomads used him and his superhuman fighting aibilty to kill a group of aristocrats and steal their treasures, just as how his father was killed.
After this, the nomads praised him for his exellent work, because they actually planned on sending him to his death, so they could ask a charge becase their slave was killed. Thus the nomads decided to use him as a bodyguard and soldier. When they came by an old master in Kung-Fu, they had him follow a 2-week cursus to become even deadlier. By this master, named Aelimathuialo, he learned his most important lesson: "Do not fear a man who practises 1000 techniques one time. Fear the man who practises one technique 1000 times." After his 2-week cursus, he fully mastered his own personal jutsu: the Divine Dragon Claw Of Rolling Winds. The minute he came back to the nomads, he killed all of them, took their horses, and continued his path. His path was his destiny. His destiny was to find a way to be accepted in a group, to be loved by people. Thus he immediatly accepted when he was told how much gladiators were loved.
His purpose was to fight.
Thats why he opened his eyes and let sensitivity scatter.Okay, this is where I am stuck, since they probaly gonna fight here and I dont know what WJUK's character is named and how he fights. Soooo... back to you, I think.

Well yea, we are probably gonna fight. But you could throw in some twists here and there.
Back to my character's perspective:
The first challenger was an elf named Akeaz. Despite traversing the lands of both elves and humans, this name was a first for him. And the elf also had a peculiar appearance. Normally Elves are honed in the arts of magics and beast summoning; but this elf was built heavily and his faced showed he had endured many hardships. As he has.
"What is your name then?" Akeaz asks.
"My name matters not." I reply apathetically. "Let's get on with this."
"A master of mine once told me that you should always ask your enemy their name. Do you know why?"
"No."
"It is so that if you lose but survive, you will have the opportunity to train and grow stronger." Akeaz pauses, looking upwards towards the bright blue sky. "Then you will gain the chance for a rematch."
"Heh. I guess that does make sense." My face finally showing some interest, which delighted Akeaz greatly. "My peers know me as: Flash Hawk."
A wave of whispers greets the crowd; many have heard of my name it seems. Akeaz, however, seems pleased that I have finally disclosed my name.
"Enough chit-chat. Let's start this." He says, with a new-found confidence.
"Choose your weapon." I declared. "Surely you do not intend to fight with just your fists."
"Oh... but I do."
A large smile cracked along his face. If this kid wanted to die, who was I to judge. We ready our stances. The Colosseum drops quiet again. I wait for what seemed an eternity for Akeaz first move.
Wait. What's that?
In that one instance, I see his fists darken. Then he was upon me. Like a speed of a cheetah, he closes the 20 feet with a single bound. If it were not for my heightened senses, I would not have reacted in time. I raise Flamelance and hear the familiar CLANG of metal.
Wait, what? Metal? No. It wasn't. It sounded like the clash of sword and scales. Not just any scales though. Dragon scales.
"Dragon fist, huh? I thought that technique was long extinct." I said as I leapt back a few steps.
"Well you thought wrong. Seems like someone's done their Ancient Martial Arts homework."
This wasn't going to be as easy as I first thought.

Flash Hawk jumped next to Akeaz and swung the Flamelance to his neck, but Akeaz dodged and grabbed his arm. He pulled it behind Flash Hawk's back to break it, but Flash Hawk turned around, kicked Akeaz, and freed his arm. While doing that he didnt saw Akeaz' next attack, felt the Dragon Claws scratching through his shoulder, but jumped back fast enough to prevent heavy damage. Akeaz launched several hits with the Claws, which were all blocked by Flash Hawk. Next Flash Hawk jumped forward, and threw Akeaz to the ground with the Flamelance against his throat. Akeaz grabbed Flash Hawk's hands, but instead of pushing the Flamelance to Flash Hawk, he turned it so that the sharp side pointed down, thus he could headbut his enemy. Flash Hawk tasted blood, which made him rage even heavier. With a scream he jumped up and stabbed Akeaz in his stomach. Akeaz grabbed the blade, to prevent it from going deeper, and pushed Flash Hawk backwards. Akeaz felt the pain of the wound in his stomach, and remembered all the times he was injured. To him, the point of being injured was to learn what happened when you let your guard down. The vision of the blood dripling out of him, made him eliminate his thouhgts and think of only one thing: That he would kill this man.

The audience is in uproar as the two combatants battle it out, risking life and limb.
Flash Hawk now stood triumphantly with Flamelance protruding proudly out of his foe. He waved jubilantly towards the cheering crowd. His arrogance was to be his downfall.
Akeaz seized this opportunity to step back, wincing slightly as the large blade came out of his gut. "This is nothing" he thought, and it was true as this was a horribly insignificant wound compared to the horrors he had faced in the past. In one swift movement he pushed the blade far upwards, causing Flash Hawk to expose his own abdomen. Now with both hands in the air, Flash Hawk was open to attack. Like Zeus, the god of thunder, Akeaz screamed at the top of his lungs and bought his own large fist to Flash Hawk's face.
Flash Hawk saw it coming. He always had. But he stood there nonetheless, waving apathetically to the crowd, dusting off his competitor as another lowly henchmen like he had faced so many times before. Oh, how wrong he was. When his blade was swung upwards into the air, he looked surprised. But deep-down, he knew this was his own fault. He saw the approaching fist. Even so, he hadn't enough time to bring his hands back down. Time seemed to slow as the fist slowly converged with his face, his arms seemed to be frozen in place. He could do nothing but watch the crackling knuckle, with veins rippling, hit his face and send him flying.
Akeaz rage could not be stopped by anyone. This, he knew from experience. Unlike his foe, he was not arrogant so he knew not to let his guard down despite dealing a heavy blow like he just had. Flash Hawk was now strewn, spread eagle on the floor about 20 feet away. His right-hand still gripped tightly onto Flamelance, the mark of a true veteran swordsman. For one slight moment, Akeaz thought this was it. That he had dealt a fatal blow to his arrogant foe and he was out for the count. He shuffled closer, slightly nervous yet never faltering.
At the exact moment that the fist made contact with his cheek, Flash Hawk had closed his eyes and they had remained closed for a while. His head screaming and bursting like someone had set it alight. Finally, he opened his eyes and saw the big blue sky. Not a cloud in sight. "It's been a while since I've seen a view like that..." he muttered under his breath. His foe was alerted that he was still conscious at the moment he opened his eyes, he knew this because he had under-estimated him before. He would not be making the same mistake again.
Akeaz watched patiently as Flash Hawk sat up, then slowly propped his right leg up and then his other. He dusted himself casually, like he had only been on the floor for a quick nap. The audience started to boo, but after a sharp glance by Akeaz they shut up. Flash Hawk finally stood up-right and Akeaz noticed something was different about him. The arrogance was now gone, like the blow he just took had knocked it straight out of him.
"It's about time we get started." He said, getting into a sword-wielding stance that Akeaz had not seen before. And Akeaz had seen every possible stance there is to see.
"Finally taking me seriously, are you?" Akeaz replied, just like you would if someone you hadn't seen in a long time asked how you've been lately.
Flash Hawk smirked. "I guess so, it depends on what you do next."
Akeaz joined Flash Hawk and smiled gently. "For the record, I've been serious this whole time."
"Sure you have." Flash Hawk chattered. "I'll now show you why they call me: Flash Hawk..."
Sorry if this seemed long. After the first paragraph or so, it just came so naturally to me that I couldn't stop. Eventually after using my teeth to wrench my hands away from the keyboard, I did.
- Ah damn... there's blood everywhere...

Flash Hawk jumped forward, and instantly unleashed a tidal wave of quick jabs with the Flamelance. Akeaz blocked most of them, and received only minor scratches from the ones that struck target. But the jabs didn't stop, and Akeaz saw no chance to attack without receiving at least 5 direct hits in the chest. A slight grin formed around Flash Hawks lips, as he continued to increase the speed of his attacks and push his opponent to the huge wall at the other side of the arena. Akeaz felt that Flash Hawk wasn't going at full speed yet, and he soon wouldn't be able to keep up anymore. More and more of the jabs managed to sneak in between Akeaz's Dragon Claws, while his defensive moves became more and more steeped with despair. Akeaz began to get irritated by the pain of the hundreds of minisculair scratches on his arms and chest.
Flash Hawk's grin grew bigger and more sneering, as he suddenly increased his speed dramatically. Fear, despair and anger dealt striking blows into Akeaz' heart."Not like this," he thought when he saw that he lost severe amounts of blood from his body, that seemed to be colored entirely red. "Bleeding to death is no fitting death for a fighter. Screw it. Than it'll be this way," he thought, as he lowered his defense and struck an unexpected blow to Flash Hawks torso. Before he could reach it, he felt the tip of the Flamelance piercing through his skin and shattering his ribs. It took him two full seconds to realise that his Dragon Claw had also struck it's target, but did inferior damage. Yet, the wound he inflicted on Flash Hawk was grave as well. Ten complete seconds of silence, they stood upright, their weapons pierced through the enemy's body, and their own body pierced by the enemy's weapon.
Akeaz opened his mouth to say something, though he had no clue what to say, since he wasn't very talkative. But as he tried to take breath to speak, all that filled his mouth was blood. "The fight will be over soon," he thought.Never expected that writing could make such a great break from studying. Luckily, I'm done for today, since this took quite long. I don't really got a clue how to continue from this point, and when I started, I didn't expect to have my character nearly dead. Well, I'm not sure about the Colloseüm's rules, but I expect them to stop when one is dead or either resignes.I onn't really wanna finish of FH (without permission) since he's not my character. And Akeaz isn't the type to resign, so, WJUK, either you can have Flash Hawk giving up, or killing Akeaz. Back to you now, I guess. (I didn't expect 2-side writing to have such interesting perspectives. I really like this.)

Wow, I totally forgot about this topic. I had to re-read all the posts before just to remember what was happening.
But since we're co-authoring it, the characters essentially belong to both of us.The crowd roared like a violent wave crashing against rocks during a particularly heavy storm.
But to the combatants, nothing could be heard. All they saw was red. Blood red. Both dealt heavy, potentially fatal wounds. But they knew they couldn't stop, they could never stop. For stopping meant death in the Colosseum. Surrender was seen as a fate worse than death, a shameful act that will stay with you for the end of your days as they brand the mark of defeat upon your fore-head.
Akeaz was breathing heavily now, he had undoubtedly come off the worse of the two in the latest attack. But his foe wasn't feeling much better. 'But what's this? Flash Hawk's trembling?' Thought Akeaz. He winced as Flash Hawk slowly withdrew the vibrating Flamelance from his chest.
Akeaz fell to the floor, his mouth now filled with blood and sand he stared up at his competitor. He was knelt down, propped up by his sword. Blood streaming down the side of the blade like it was bleeding, but it was not. Akeaz knew very well that it was his blood upon the blade.
"Get up." Flash Hawk's voice echoed around the Colosseum. "I know that's not all you've got."
"Heh." Akeaz slowly but surely manages to sit upright with the assistance of the wall. "I never thought I'd ever need to use restoration magic in a 1 on 1 fight."
"First time for everything."
"Ain't that right." Akeaz could feel his cracked ribs slowly reforming. For now, he can only crudely piece them together and hope that a more adept magician can fix them properly when he gets out of here. Or rather, if he gets out of here. It was a painful process for Akeaz, his face contorted into a horrible figure. A complete contrast to his normal bright expression.
This whole time Flash Hawk just knelt there. Unmoving.
Akeaz can now stand, but he still walked like he had just drank several galleons of root beer. His footing unsteady he lurched forward.
"Finished?" Flash Hawk inquired. A blood droplet falling from his chin.
"You could've finished me then."
"But I didn't."
"Why not?"
"Because then it wouldn't be fun anymore. Didn't you feel me trembling?"
A stark realisation hit Akeaz. This man was no ordinary man. The trembling he felt before was not due to being scared, but blood-lust. It had been so obvious yet Akeaz hated himself for not realising it then.
Akeaz took another slow shaky step forward. "I guess neither us are going to stop until the other is dead then?"
Flash Hawk shifted his weight away from his sword and stood up slowly. Like the gentle giant from the stories his mother use to tell him, thought Akeaz. But this guy was far from gentle.
"Bingo."

Forgot Akeaz was an elf, and elves usually can heal. Mah bad
"Got any more aces up your sleeves?" Flash Hawk asked. "That could make this even more fun.""Perhaps", Akeaz replied. "You may find out when the time is there."
Akeaz recasted his Dragon Claws, which were dispelled when he used the healing magic.
His chest didn't bleed anymore and most of his ribs were sort of back in their places, but he couldn't shake the feeling that Death's hand had his fingers closed among Akeaz's heart, waiting to tear it out. The wound must have been deeper than he thought.Akeaz stepped cautiously closer to his enemy.
Flash Hawk smiled. "My, my, have you become afraid of me? Was my wave of attacks to mush for your nerves?""I'm not afraid. I'm cautious."
Flash Hawk stood upright, with his shoulders and chin lifted high. He wasn't being arrogant or underestimating his enemy again, but that didn't mean he had to let a chance to impress the crowd sneak by. Akeaz was still far out of range.
A roaring scream quickly awoke him from his thoughts. Akeaz jumped inhumanly far towards him with his Claws swung behind him, ready to strike forward. As the massive Claws smashed into the steel of the Flamelance, Flash Hawk noticed that they seemed bigger, sharper than before. The power of the impact had also increased dramatically. It was the forst time the face of the elf showed real emotion of hatred. His face was always neutral before, almost solemn, but now it was raging. It was also the first time Akeaz used a battle cry.As Akeaz, who gained the upper hand by surprising his enemy, continued to deal powerfull but rather slow smashes, Flash Hawk carefully combined blocking and studying his enemy. He was going all out now, unlike before, when he seemed much more in control of himself. Flash Hawk couldn't figure out much more, so he started to attack again with his ferocious speed, that was even increased by the bloodlust. He managed to control the lust so far, but now he started attacking again, he noticed that he became way too exited. His heartbeat rose skyhigh as he dealt another lightning fast volley of hits. Surprised, he looked at the elf. Not a single hit had struck target. He wanted to ask something, but the elf didn't give him a chance to start a conversation. It didn't seem like Akeaz would even hear what he was going to say anyway.
Again, he unleashed a storm of hits, but Akeazblocked most of them using only a single claw, while he swung at Flash Hawk with the other. Flash Hawk saw the claws, that shimmered in the sunlight, flying towards his face, but it still was way too slow. He blocked, was disbalanced because of the impact, but quickly restored and promised himself to let his next combo not stop untill he achieved a result. Giving the elf no time to fully restore his defences, he began again. But the elf didn't stop attacking. With one claw, that seemed more blunt, but bigger than before, he stopped the attacks, and with the other, that seemed smaller and sharper, he continued to attack.
"He can modify his claws?", Flash Hawk thought.
"Has he done that before? If he did, I wouldn't have noticed."Still attacking, Flash Hawk managed to drift back on par with his enemy. He had no idea how fast he could change his claws, but he knew that he had to make him defend with the sharp one, that would more likely break, or attack with the dull one, that would do less damage. "So you still had an ace up your sleeve.", he thought.

.Nice.
Not that I don't trust you, but I (and WJUK as well, probably) would like to keep this rather serious. Please don't go as random as most people did in chain story, or create an overpowered character.
But I'm sure you'll do fine. And any piece of writing is very much appreciated.
Maybe we can do a triangular fight after this one.
PS:I believe this is the first time I wrote from FH's perspective. I hope I got the right vision of him.
PPS:This page is so banged up in IE...

Well, I'd actually prefer to not let any of them die. They are both interesting characters. How about adding a colloseums rule, that when one of the contestants is unable to continue fighting (unconsious; lost limbs) the fight is over.

Sorry for the double post, but I thought that I'd point this out:
With one claw, that seemed more blunt, but bigger than before, he stopped the attacks, and with the other, that seemed smaller and sharper, he continued to attack.
With "he stopped the attacks" I mean that Akeaz blocked FH's attacks, not just that he stopped attacking FH with that Claw.
