I'm thinking of making the story a bit multi sided, and I've decided that maybe P-Bot get's trapped in Brad's drive, rather like the DW episodes Silence in the Library, and Forest of the Dead. So I thought that he would interact with Stande, Faith and maybe a few others... Posted 3 years ago # -
cool, well...keep writing man!!! i wanna read more!!!

wow, i can't believe i'm saying this, but i never knew about "stande"
where did you find that?

truly not bad for a first game. then again, it was brad so...The only reason I don't have a Nobel Prize is because I'm too much of a genius for the common mind to grasp.Posted 3 years ago # -
Haha Brad has done some commercial work as well. He tends not to talk about those. :S

Ep 1:
Two mechanical eyes slowly surveyed the city, scanning, searching for the slightest sign of danger. The city seemed to spread in every direction, a maze of metal and bitumen, complicated by the thousands travelling through the city streets.
The city was a form of controlled chaos, situated in the tranquillity of the Portal forest.
Giant trees rose so high, leaves beginning to brown and fall off, caking the undergrowth, and starving it of its much needed sunlight. The gargantuan mech's worn, red body slowly unravelled, revealing a myriad of hydraulic and electric cables, each of these intricately wired, allowing the robot to function.
The bot slowly raised its left arm, revealing a massive blaster cannon, slowly spinning, creating a loud, whirring sound, a sort of a warning mechanism for anything or anyone that was near.He took aim carefully beneath his feet and fired, the outer part of the “blam†cannon sliding backwards, revealing two pinpoint lasers, meeting exactly in the centre. These two beams sharply focused, creating a glowing green ball of energy where they met. The sphere of energy shot forward, too fast for even the enhanced vision of the robot to take in, slamming into the ground beneath the mechs feet, creating a ripple effect, the nearby trees straining under the pressure of the pulse.
Energy irradiated from underneath P-Bot, the energy blast tunnelling through the hard rock of the cliff, travelling so deep, no light could pierce the deep darkness.
It was time…
The cursor paused on the bright, yellow submit button, hovering so slightly, the author making sure all was right. His wife was standing over him, smiling, their amazing burden of the last two years finally off their chests.
* * *
With a small jolt, the wings snapped into place, locking firmly into two slots of P-Bot’s upper body. The twin rockets flared, a long stream of bright orange flame jetting out below.
P-Bot launched through the air, spiralling high, before he turned sharply and began to plummet. He pointed his blam cannon into the air, firing another bolt of pure energy, the bolt quickly followed by another, the second of a far higher velocity.A vast green light pooled over the skies of Portal city, although barely noticeable in the bright light of the mid-morning. The light faded away as quickly as it came, the two spheres of energy that had caused it now disintegrated, their remains falling slowly to the ground
P-Bots speed vastly increased, as he fell towards the opening of the tunnelled out cliff, his hydrofoil wings folding away with only seconds to spare. He kept falling, two small green lamps lighting up on either side of his mechanical head.
The robots metal hands reached backward, detaching two axes from his red back.
The makeshift tunnel began to slowly widen, green light illuminating the cylindrical walls. P-Bot fell into a vast opening, lodging the axes into the last edge of the tunnel wall, swinging forward with great momentum. The robot barrel rolled, landing with a thud on the cavern floor. Dust scattered into the air, creating a thick cloud, that limited visibility to less than a few centimetres.
Very few had been this far into the heart of Newgrounds, only P-Bot and his creators. He switched of his lights, this cavern vastly illuminated by the pulsating, red portal. As much as he tried not too, P-Bot stared into the glowing red light of the portal, 1’s and 0’s flowing up and down the structure of the portal.
The passage of binary data was interrupted as two thin black arms reached through the red light of the portal, a small prelaoder bar displaying the transfer completion.More of the strange figure started to emerge; first some spiky hair, then the eraser end of an orange pencil. Finally a pair of (if I dare say it) extremely fancy pants pushed through the barrier.
P-Bot made a sudden clicking noise acknowledging his comrade. He made a gesture for Fancy Pants to walk through the portal cavern, P-Bot following slowly behind.
Maniacal laughter spread through the cavern, seemingly shaking the foundations of the Portal City. Spiky, vibrant coloured hair leapt through the glowing red portal, running through the cavern. The figures powdered whit face seemed to glow, irradiating evil. The small shiny gold bells attached to his shoes chimed as he sprinted to the turned backs of FPM and the robot.
P-Bot readied his blam cannon, wheeling around on one metallic foot. Three shots launched from the cannon, each dodged expertly.
“It’s time!†shouted the assailant, leaping towards the pair, twisting to doge more glowing green spheres.P-Bot reached back, grasping another set of large pick-axes. He commando-rolled forward, lashing out with the set of axes mid-manoeuvre. He quickly spun around once more, releasing another set of blasts from his cannon.
Fancy Pants unsheathed his pencil, swinging wildly, knocking the energy balls around the cavern. He jumped forward, spinning with the pencil, rushing towards his adversary with great forward momentum. Once again P-Bot swung his arms, each axe embedding deep within the roof.
The robot advanced forward, his black, metal hands grasping Fancy, tossing him into the passage to the world above, P-Bots original travel route.
P-Bot’s blam cannon folded back once more, revealing the two small lasers. This time a clicking noise was made, and instead of a small ball of energy emanating from the tip, a single laser beam lanced forward, laying waste to anything in its path. He aimed directly underneath the portal, as it bored through the earth.
The gas pocket, the source of Portal Cities vast amounts of energy, diffused quickly into the cavern as the ground above it was disintegrated. The sulphuric gas then quickly ignited, tongues of flame licking at everyone inside the cavern, heat scorching P-Bots red body, turning it a dark black. The ground throughout the cavern began to twist in multiple directions, pulling down towards the portal.
P-Bot fired oonce more, finally causing the ground of the cavern to collapse, slanting inwards. The robot leapt towards the handles of the pick, his arm outstretched.
He grasped at the handle, barely managing to grab a hold. Swinging forward, he grasped at the second pick axe, hanging at such a vertical angle, his scorched back occasionally touched the roof of the cavern. He stared above, Piconjo’s unconscious body falling towards the portal. He hoped that Fancy was alright, ready to join the Newgrounds community.
An alert pounded through the lopsided cave, P-Bot’s head quickly spinning around. An IP address flashed through the screen above the portal, Piconjo inches away. Loosening his grip on the axe handle, P-Bot fell towards Piconjo and the portal, his mass causing him to fall at great speed.
He activated his cannon once more, shooting wildly at the portal, trying to stop Piconjo from travelling through the open Portal. As he two travelled through the opening, the portal fused, unable to register P-Bot.
The red light of the cavern slowly faded away, the power system of Portal city no longer functioning.
The city above seemed to die, all of it’s energy sucked away.

From anyone reading ROTFL LMAO, I said I would revive this topic - I've always had a soft spot in my heart about this story. green started this topic a year ago, and he was expecting something less... er... epic? If that is the word.
The story was practically started on a whim but has grown into something much more impressive, in my eyes anyway.
If possible I would love to finish this somehow and have a complete copy (looking at DS here).
But anyway, without further ado...
"Flashhawk. What are you doing here? I thought you were still injured." It sneered.
"Cut the chit-chat." Flashhawk muttered, holding the wound he received from Aeon with difficulty.
"Still a man of few words I see." Aeon gasped exasperatedly, each breath he took in felt like his last. A pool of crimson red blood flowed around him to create his own River Styx.
"Actions speak louder than words" Flashhawk stated as he unsheathed his sword.
'It' acknowledged this through a loud grunt. Had it known the human equivalent was a simple nod of the head, it may have done so. But having a physical form was still very new to him.
It reared up and proceeded to stare deep into Flashhawk's eyes.
Again, a battle of minds was fought between the two beings in this colossal arena. Aeon experienced the overwhelming madness and blood-lust first-hand and was all too happy to not be in the same situation again.
Nothing moved in the stadium that once housed the raucous cheers of several thousands. Nothing but the blood slowly draining from Aeon's mortal wound. And yet, he fails to move. No, he refuses to move. He does not attempt to tend to it as he knows his time has come. He has already accepted that he will die today, he just wishes to see a final fight before appearing before the Grim Reaper.
Aeon smirked. How fitting. He had been called 'The Grim Reaper' before and yet now here he was, fearing death as he practically stares down the true Grim Reaper.
"GWARGH!"
Aeon snaps out of his thoughts as he is brought crashing back to reality, and the pain consuming his very body.
It was Flashhawk, laid upon his knees. His weapon strewn out in front of him, hopelessly.
Aeon knew this was a large possibility, Flashhawk may be experienced but Aeon retrieved special training from the Tah'rall in the Southern Deserts of Iraet who specialised in fortifying (and invading) minds. They were a shy people, isolated from all else in fear of their own powers. Most people don't even know they exist and yet Aeon had met them completely by chance on one of his endeavours in the very same desert.
He forcefully brought his mind to the current situation and his own affliction. His mind was beginning to try and use his memories to forget about the pain, his body physically telling the mind that it was very very sick. But no, he knew very well that the outcome of this encounter will determine the fate of the entire world. Flashhawk was the very last bastion of defence of everything sane. Aeon couldn't help but think the whole realm was in serious trouble.
Flashhawk snatched at his sword in front of him and slowly got to his feet. His body still trembling from the fact his mind was brutally assaulted not long ago.
"I could have killed you." It said. Practically chortling in it's raspy, grainy voice that echoed menacingly in the now empty Colosseum. "I could have tore your mind asunder. Ripped the very essence of your soul from your physical body. And yet I didn't, do you know why?"
Flashhawk steadied himself and his trembling now less severe answered: "Because Akeaz is still in there. I know it. He would never let you do-"
"BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" It keeled over in brusque laughter, a natural reflex left over from Akeaz's husk of a body. "You still believe that the elf's mind is still in here?"
"Yes." Flashhawk replied matter-of-factly.
It stopped laughing as abruptly as it started. It's tone now more serious and sinister than before, something which Aeon thought would've been an impossible task.
"Well you are deadly wrong. I left you alive for one sole reason: To crush you." The last sentence was said with particular menace and Flashhawk knew he meant it. "Plundering your mind is like child's play for me. I thought it'd be more interesting to even the footing a little and play in your arena. Basically, I'm going to beat you at your own game. I'm going to beat you in a physical fight."
"Are you sure? You'll regret it when I beat you." Flashhawk said as he raised his Flamelance into his ready stance. The trembling stopped but his mind still felt very much violated. He could not think straight and it took all his concentration to stay upon his feet.
"Ha. That's rich! Beat me? You're several millennia too young to say anything like that." It stood there, seemingly mocking Flashhawk by not preparing at all. No stance. No nothing.
Flashhawk charged.
Now, by all accounts, Flashhawk was not slow. He crossed the 100 yards between them in a frightening few seconds. His flurry of slashes began as soon as he was within range. He tried every possible attack angle but to no avail. It simply stood there, completely unfazed. Dodging every attack with ease. Flashhawk would swing left, and it would dodge right. He would swing high and it would evade low.
Flashhawk grew aggravated. His wound stung with every swing but he continued. At this point, he was attacking like a Berserker with no thought of his own safety. Openings appeared as Flashhawk's movements dulled and his combat introduced unnecessary movements. And yet it didn't attack, it didn't even attempt to parry. Akeaz's scales did not even look to begin to appear.
Flashhawk now tired and breathless, leaped backwards. Gasping for air and holding the wound Aeon gave him in pain.
"Are you quite finished? You dancing around me like a monkey was getting on my nerves." It said, nonchalantly. Flashhawk gritted his teeth in anger.
"Flashhawk! Calm your storm!" Aeon shouted.
Flashhawk had completely forgotten Aeon was still here. He appeared bedraggled and beaten and yet retained his outstanding aura to his dying breath. The ground around him was blood-soaked like the very ground itself was bleeding.
Flashhawk felt himself calming down. He composed himself and nodded appreciatively at Aeon, who did not nod back. He returned his attention back to 'it'.
"I've finally seen through your trick." Flashhawk divulged. "I was too hasty before. My mind clouded by emotions. But it is clear now."
"And what do you hope to achieve with your now 'un-clouded' mind?" It replied contemptibly.
"Your defeat."
Flashhawk knew that the real battle began now.

Darn WJUK. Telling me to actually compile that site now?
Well, I'd better do it. Worst part is adding all the <br / >'s. But hey, things could be worse then that.
This is a signature!Posted 2 years ago # -
Haha, you have to add all the line breaks? That sucks.
Does copy & paste not retain those? Or is it because you have different formatting?
Posted 2 years ago # -
HTML is like that. Copy paste keeps the line breaks, but I'll add have to add br's myself.
Maybe I could write some JavaScript to create the HTML needed out of the text inserted...
This is a signature!Posted 2 years ago # -
You could also write a PHP function to convert every \n to a [br /].
That probably made no sense to anyone besides DS.
Just got back on the internet after losing my access for a week. Read more on Random Discussion.Posted 2 years ago # -
I got that.
I could easily write something in Python to do the same thing.
For anyone wondering, "\n" is the new-line character (on ASCII systems anyway - which is most systems nowadays).
Posted 2 years ago # -
Got it too. Don't underestimate us
Awesome writing as always, WJUK. I can't wait to turn the page.

Ooooh!!! I wanna do one! =D
This is fantasy one,i made it up right away,or...something.
Ok,imma get started.
Oh and since this is extremley long,i have to force myself to split this apart into parts of the story.I think there will be like 20 chapters. Also notice there will be more characters later in the chapters, lol.
HINT: A dark-mage will come.TITLE: Shattered Runes - Forleek's Strike
CHAPTER 1: The Beginning
In a fantasy world named Nano, where it takes place on the three main gods. Aveeth, god of Construction and peace,Bondeem, god of balance, and Forleek, god of destruction and war. Though,Bondeem is the most powerful god,has the power of all the elements, and created the planet Nano. The gods are brothers, also, and in the planet, has magic, dragons, warriors, and even the undead,it's the place where everyone exists.
The story, takes place in a vast amount of riches,in a cave, where Forleek, the god of descruction and war,had a conversation with a human.Though it is rare for a human talking to a god, only prayers made contact with the gods.
"Human....I need revenge on the human who needs to be killed and go to my hell, take the three humans to their suffer, and bring them to me...With their heads...Gone..." Forleek, said with anger.
"Y-Yes! Lord! God of descruction and war! But i am only a priest-"
"SILENCE!!" Forleek inturupts the human, whoever he is,Forleek doesn't care.Forleek standed up from his stone, with tons of gold behind him, took his staff, and punished him for not obeying his orders.
"NOOOOO!!!!"
The last sound was there was the sound a human's neck cutted off.Never heard of again.
Forleek lives in the Underworld,his own hell.Though what happened earlier,it will take place on a place,named Bellwood.Where a warrior,a mage,and a Ranger,is living in a village.Rex,a male warrior,Vonex,a male mage,and Bleech,a female Ranger.
"Haha, take that you rat!" Rex said with laughter, killing the rat with his sword 3 seconds later.
"Meh,i'm going to get some bread, food is scarce these days." Vonex said,a little tired, sleeping very late.
"Hm? Oh,alright then.Carry on then." Rex said, continuing into killing rats.
Bleech yawned, going down-stairs,walking down the wooden stair-case. "What's all the talky talky about?"
"Ah nothin'.Vonex is gonna get some bread, all the rats ate it." Rex said with a yawn.
Vonex left the door. "Oh,so we can't eat for now?" Bleech said. "Yep."
Silence filled the room, except for the rat noise,Rex is still killing them.
Bleech is sitting on the chair, avoiding to touch the rats, until a rat climbed the chair.
"Ahh!! The rat! Kill it!!!" Bleech screamed."Enough whining!" Rex is disappointed, having a 15 year old screamed. Though,Rex's age is 17,and Vonex is 17 too.All of them are skinny, and usually Vonex is a sweet-loving girl. While Vonex is nearly emotion-less. Rex himself is fun-loving too,but more brave, with some Rune armour, without a helm.
Now let's be with Vonex.
Vonex was walking down the street, going to the Bread Store.
"Two baskets of bread,please."
The story lady exchanged the money with the bread.Vonex leaved with a good-bye.Some noise was heard of Vonex,a horn.A servant of the king, said,"Greetings Bellwood!
I have a special announcement!"
Vonex left with uninterest, until the servant said something about the gods. Vonex quickly turned to the servant,a crowd is infront of him, though, but he cant still see."The god of descruction! Forleek! Is angry! SOMEONE SHATTERED SOME OF THE RUNES!"
Vonex feels awkward, without the runes, his magic are gone.Though he was glad he heard someone only shattered some runes. But he cannot cast some spells, though.
The servant continued,"Someone shattered the death and Cosmic runes!!!" He yelled with a cranky voice, due to he's so old.
"Wait,if the death and the Cosmic runes are shattered...The souls will be ghosts, attacking other people, without rest. And about the cosmic-"
Birds flew away from the floor, interupting Vonex.
"There will not be any transformations and no teleporting!"
Vonex runned with the baskets of bread to the house.
Vonex slammed the door.
"Guys!!! Someone shattered the runes!""WHAT!?" Rex and Bleech both said.
"Someone shattered two,Cosmic, and Death. At nights the souls are ghosts and haunt the people, usually scaring and torturing the humans like us.And Cosmic, which means no transformation nor teleporting."
"Hmm...So,what are we going to do?" Rex said, confused.
"We know what to do..." Vonex said.
Bleech bursted,"We're gonna restore them!!"
"Ya right!" Rex said, without a doubt.
"We have no choice, wer're the the strongest in the village!" Vonex said. He does have a good point.
Rex sighed,"Alright."
"Yay!" Bleech said rising her arms and lifting her right leg.
Suddenly, though,a shattered rune teleported on Vonex's hand out of no where.
"What!? How could this be!?" Vonex said surprised.
"HEY! THAT'S THE GUYS WHO SHATTERED THE RUNES! KILL THEM!" Someone yelled so loud everyone in the village and chased them with guns and knifes and spears."
"Uh oh,Vonex we got a problem..." Rex said.
"And how did you-"
"No time to explained Bleech! Run!!"
Vonex interupted Bleech, running for their lives, out of the village.
"Wow! I never knew this village is THAT big!" Rex yelled while running.
"We're not running!!! WE'RE GOING IN CIRCLES!!!" Vonex yelled.
"Oh..." Rex murmered.
"Hang on!" Vonex yelled.
"For what!?!" Bleech,Rex,and Vonex stopped.
After a split second,Vonex using the Earth spell to surround them of rock, then Vonex moved the Earth underground, along with them.
"That." Vonex finished.
"Were underground,follow me."
Rex and Bleech didn't know what to do,so they followed him.
"So...did you shattered the runes?" Rex said.
"Of course not! The runes are in the North Pole! In the temple! I would'nt go THAT fast!"
Vonex has a point.
Later,they build a fire.
Rex said,"How did the shattered runes got on your hands? If the Cosmic shattered rune teleported on your hands, how?!?"
Vonex pulled put the shattered rune out of his pocket.
"The pieces arn't that small,just like 8 pieces.""Your probably right." Bleech said,tired.
"Let's have some rest, then we'll go to the north pole,to repair this rune and return it.*Sigh* It's gonna be a loong adventure..." Vonex said...
Silence filled the room, leaving only the sound,of fire.
Now back to the present.
In Forleek's lair,the Underworld...Said with silence.
"Bring me........Leed...."
Feet stumped on stone sounds coming slower the Forleek.
"Yesssss......My lord..." He hissed.
"You know what to do...." Forleek murmered to Leed.
"I am deadly.....Yesss......I shall....For that......." Leed hissed silently.
"..........I cannot die..........." Leed hissed silently, leaving Forleek proud...

So is this story EVER going to some to conclusion? Or at least have another part??
either way, we could use some help over at the fancyrica thread. For reason there's been some massive story started there now too.

Er... when I can be asked I'll write a new part. I suppose?
