If there was no tomorrow I still wouldn't spout out facts, because they'd be useless if we'd all die anyways.

Ah see... The thing with blackholes is that they probably wouldn't kill you if one happened tomorrow.
Blackholes come from dying stars and such, so if the Sun became a black hole tomorrow (which is extremely unlikely) we'd all still be fine. Why? Well, you've got to think back to elementary physics.
What affects gravity? Mass and distance. So the more mass there is, the more gravitational pull and, obviously, the same can be said for the closer you are. So, why do black holes have so much gravitational pull, enough so to pull in light?
This is actually explained quite easily. Let's take the Sun, while not the biggest start out there it's still fairly large comparatively to our planet (which is an understatement). So naturally, it contains quite a bit of mass. But that's spread out over a large area. Now imagine all that mass compacted into a small area... Yea, huge gravitational pull when you're close to it. And due to the much smaller size of black holes, you can get MUCH closer to black holes than, say, the Sun. Although, be warned, once you're passed the Event Horizon, you're pretty much screwed.
Anyway, back to my earlier point: If the Sun became a black-hole we'd be fine. Why? Because the distance nor the mass has changed. So, theoretically, the gravitational pull exerted from the Sun (now a black hole) towards the Earth would be the same as before. Ok sure, we would die eventually as the source of light (and thus: life) goes out, but that's not the point here.
How do you know when you are screwed when you go past the event horizon?
Nobody knows what's there. Sure, you mass would be distorted and mashed into something as tiny a needle, but the particles may be preserved, so you may theoretically survive.
Well, let's just say once you're past the horizon, you're not coming back.
That, for me, is pretty much screwed.
What if you land in a perfect world filled with *Insert stuff here*

Um...
Completely impossible.
That somehow reminds me, The Beast Below is on tonight...
And what if black holes work as Portals and you have to go in the other black hole again?Well, let's just say once you're past the horizon, you're not coming back.
That, for me, is pretty much screwed.
It would be more logic if wormholes worked as Portals though.
While no one can really prove or disprove conclusively of any hypothesis you create, you've got to be reasonable.
Space travel through black-holes may be possible and many Sci-Fi novels/movies use this. But would you really survive the trip? If the outside of a black hole is any indication, the gravitational forces within it would destroy you in seconds.
Also, this is the best part of Fancy Pants Man's Adventures.
Black-holes?
Yup.
You all know what is the best part of Fancy Pants creator?
The way he lets us all go so off-topic in his forum.
Definitely.
I love going off topic.
Oooo!!! It's the ocean!
(That's me btw)
(From a while ago)

Oh yeah blackholes show up ALL the time in FPA. TOTALLY the best part!
Nice way of continuing off-topicness from 6 days ago.
...
NOT!
Hehheheheh, Borat.

Borat?
Why did you mention Borat?
Because Borat makes NOT-jokes.
