As far as I know I don't believe we've had an actual topic about books. I recall me and Nyubis having a nerdgasm over Paolini's Eragon, Eldest and Brisinger books. But not an actual topic to actively discuss it!
And since we promote education, healthy eating and all that hi-zazz here on the forums, I thought I'd start one.
I'd start the ball rolling with books I'd recommend to people:
-Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan (I actually bought the last book today and plan to read it over the week)
-The Dark Tower series by Stephen King (Recommended for mature audiences only)
-The Inheritance Cycle (formerly the Inheritance trilogy) by Christopher Paolini
-David Baldacci's books. I've only properly read Stone Cold but it was brilliant.
-"The Book with No name" (yes, it's an actual book). Good luck finding this book I found it at a clearance sale and got it for £2. It's a really good book (but like the Dark Tower, for mature audiences only) and apparently it was spawned from an internet hit phenomenon. And the author (as stated on the book itself) is Anon. So yea, good luck trying to finding this gem.
-John Dies at the End by David Wong. An utterly brilliant book written by David Wong (who some may know from Cracked.com) with his amazing dark humour and crazy storyline as well as intriguing characters, it is highly recommended by myself and many many people online.
