It's obvious that Brad has made a deal with the devil to obtain such good slope detection... XD
The concept sounds interesting, but actually making it is another story altogether. As people around the forum will tell you.
As for slope detection, you're probably have to do it the regular way that most people do with the two detectors to either side to calculate gradient.
actually, making a platformer in AS2 isn't that difficult, just SD is, something like mario, or megaman i can whip in a few hours if i have the sprites ( and if the sprites are allready put into movieclips, labelled, and given instance names i can do it in like an hour, programming movement, gravity, jumping, and hitests are easy.)
anyway. the worst thing about my games is the camera, i use a special version of V-Cam that I've been messing with for over an eternity, it doesn't have the brilliance of Brad's but it gets the job done, the problem is that it starts to lag after a while. anyone have any ideas on simple AS Camera? anyway, im working on the beta right now, need to finish the cutscenes, i cant give a beta release date, probably something next month.
