I thought about this a few days ago while playing world 2 and I said I wouldn't mind paying to see this on the ds.

A console FPA has been discussed a couple of times already, and is most likely not going to happen.

K, just noticed it now. Those don't always work for me for some reason. Still I think it be interesting even if was a fan made hacked port (highly illegal yes but would still be fun to see).

We have discussed this before, with Brad too. Who would love to take FPA to consoles/portables.
The DS would be a prime candidate, I reckon - FPA anywhere and anytime! But XBL/PSN/WiiWare would be a great too.

The DSi can do downloadable titles and software. That'd be a good way to get FPA onto a mobile device. I don't think it'd make the cut as a regular DS game...
Or it can take the Shift route and become an app for iPhones. Now if only I had an iPhone myself.

The problem with putting FPA on a portable device is that it's such a complex game that it wouldn't run very well on mobile devices. If someone could make a console version, that would probably be your best bet.

Personally, I think if FPA was coming to consoles/portables. It should go the N+ route.
N+ went DS and XBLA game.

Depends if the DS would have enough power to run the game.

I figure so, it is reasonably powerful. But I don't want to see the same thing happen to it as happened to N+, that Nintendo edits the levels and become less good. Though the chance of that happening is lower, since FPA hasn't got a level editor.

I would rather have FPA as Xbox, PS3 and Wii game. So everyone can enjoy it.

If they released it to all three systems, then it would be good. Although getting it on all three would be quite a bit of work, since each console works differently and would require unique programming.

Yup. You'll probably need to re-write the whole game. And I don't think Brad would wanna do that.

The DS should definitely be powerful enough to play FPA. Have you seen some of the games on that thing?
As for consoles, the best and easiest way would be on the download services.

Consoles can browse the internet, y'know.

I know. But what I know they can't play flash stuff.

Not sure about the PS3 but the Wii can. I know for sure it can play YT videos, I'm pretty sure it can play Flash games too.

Then why port it?

it would be best on the Iphone. I can say that now that I have an i-pod touch =D

@DS: Because it's impossible to play without a keyboard (even then I'm not sure you can).
And a straight-up port wouldn't really work, I think it'd have to be a new game with more levels.
@Nik: I think it would work on the iPhone too.
