Forum Conduct and Rules (Original topic by FairlyObvious)
Hey guys, as y'all know Brad and I want to keep this forum as orderly and friendly as possible, so here is a basic idea of what kind of conduct is expected from the community members as well as rules that need to be followed.
Topic Posting
Please do not post topics simply to post topics. Every topic must have a general purpose and be open for some form of discussion. Please do not topic spam (post multiple topics that have no purpose or point). Any topic that is considered to be a "spam" topic or an inappropriate topic will be deleted. Do NOT post topics that ask for personal information, this includes cell phone numbers, home addresses, screennames, etc. If you wish to get information from someone please PM them, although we discourage anyone from giving anything more personal then a screenname. Please do not make this information public, there are people that haunt threads looking for that kind of information, we do not want to give them anything to move on. Anything that is considered private personal information will be edited or deleted from public forums.
Comments
Please keep all comments clean and friendly. Do not curse excessively, and even if you are using l33t, we can all still understand what you are saying, and its not clever. This will particularly be enforced in the "Serious Business" folder, if you cannot present a solid argument do NOT resort to attacking the other person. Any such conduct will lead to your comment not only being deleted but in a warning towards your account.
The rules for personal information apply in comments as well.
Images
The same rules for commenting and topic posting apply. Do NOT spam with images that do not relate to the topic at hand. If an image is deemed inappropriate it WILL BE deleted. This is not something that is simply done, it goes through both Brad and me so it is not a personal attack on anyone. We want to keep the forum as kid friendly as possible and "adult" content is not appreciated.
Member Status
Most of you will notice that instead of "member" under there name, some people have custom titles. Brad and I are the only ones who can alter these statuses and we do so under our personal discretion. We enjoy coming up with name for familiar people in the community and once we get to know you we will be sure to try and find a name that fits you. Please do not message requests for statuses as this may lead to more of a delay on us even thinking of changing your status.
Avatars
This is not myspace, we appreciate the use of avatars as a way to express creativity, interests, and/or personality. This is not a social networking site, if you choose to use a personal picture be aware that the admins reserve the right to change the avatar if it is felt to be inappropriate for the site.
DISCLAIMER
We reserve the right to delete or edit any comment made by a users of this site.
If for some reason you have an issue with a comment that has been edited/deleted please PM Brad me or any of the mods and we will explain to you why the comment/topic has been deleted.
