I'm making a Flash Platform Game with a guy called Ash Rai. I'm doing all the visuals and story and some of the level design and stuff and he is programming it and doing level design too, and coming up with some great ideas. I don't have a story, I had one but it was too similar to Fancy Pants' "Ice Cream Get!". I have a bunch of sprites made and lots of ideas, doodles, and notes. In terms of influences I think the game will sit in a triangle who's points are Sonic, Donkey Kong Country and Super Mario Bros. I'll be learning ActionScript along the way and maybe my next release will be a solo project. Who knows, depends how long it takes me to learn to programme. So, check out me sprites and YouTube videos about the project. I'm interested to hear/ read your feedback so far. Might make a blog about the game too, perhaps it's too early days. I dunno.

It's great that you have a project coming along and it looks good. I'm sure I'm not the only one who likes seeing projects from their initiation to their (hopefully) end.
Keep at it!
Small note though, you can usually edit your posts afterwards (up to an hour or so). So you can prevent posting 5 posts in a row and just put them all into one post.

@OscarB: those are some pretty nice animations you have right there... much better than i ever could do.
But like WJUK said, try to keep all the stuff you can into one post, if you can.

Dang, i posted this 3 months ago but got snowed under with animation work. I started another game, a more short term project with a programmer called Ash Rai. The games called Biddyboarding. Here's a beta:

It's pretty glitch tastic at the moment as you can see. I haven't been working on the game for a while but now Ash isn't replying to my messages so I have no idea if the game will ever get finished. I really want to work on Ginger Joe though. I think that has potential to be a really great game. Biddyboarding is more of a short thing just to get some money.

So the dude who I started working with on the skateboarding game disappeared so it's back to Ginger Joe. I've started a blog about it. Forgot I already had one lol.
