Summer vacations really go way to fast.
Never heard of AFSintercultural.
But I know multiple people that went abroad for a year and loved it. You'll have a brilliant time, I'm sure.
What are the tests on?
I really dont know what these are either. could you give a little explanation seeing as you want to go? if you pass those tests (which I STILL DONT KNOW WHAT THE HELL THEY ARE).

They're psychological tests... Which are used to see if you are or not ready to face this kind of experience: living in a country where ppl don't speak your language; being alone without your family/parents (yeah, that's the greatest part XD)... But there will be a "host family", anyway.
They ask you to draw trees, ppl, houses etc. and with the help of some psychologists they could understand what kind of person you are... Obviously that's not the only test: they make you choose some adjectives that (according to you) fit you... And then there is an oral exam where you have to speak about your motivations etc...
Well at least this is what I got reading various sites...
My goal are Northern European countries... 
Oh and btw teh exams are in November I think

OH MY GOD THEY DO THIS AT MY SCHOOL!! Except there arent any tests i have heard of (yet) and you can do it in ANY YEAR! so i could do it this year.

Well... If you read above I said that my goal are Northern Europe countries such as Sweden, Norway, Finland, Netherlands or Danmark...
Anyway, ONLY if I pass the tests 
(I'm very anxious ) in November/December the association will choose one of the countries that I prefer and all the ppl who passed are going to leave from Rome next summer, or something like that...
P.S.: I first wanted to go to the UK but it isn't possible because the association seems not to "operate" there ... But anyway in Northern Europe I can learn 2 languages in one year: English and the one of the country...
