I'm making an epic Fancy Pants Adventures montage!

I would like your clips in my montage!

It would be good if you tried to record in as high quality as possible.

Also, Any tips for Epic music? It got to be legal.

Yeah, it will take a while. I recorded a whole play through but Camstudio couldn't save.

Almost one and a half hour of work.

Hypercam has that ugly logo in the corner, I recommend CamStudio. It works for me.

I used to use super screen capture but I just tried CamStudio and found that it is very good.

@VideoGuy: When you use Camstudio, can you record the sound in the game? Or do you just cover the no sound with commentary?

I can't have sound sadly.

I use the BSR Screen Recorder even though it has a small logo in the bottom right, but it does it well. I tried Fraps but it didn't work for me for some reason. :S

with camstudio you can record the sound that is going to the speakers or the sound coming in to the mic.

Only if your motherboard supports line-in recording. Which mine sadly doesn't, unfortunately. So I ended up just recording all audio from the mic, which is a solution. Not a terribly good one but it works.

maybe you could find another program that can just record the sound going to the speakers and then add that in during editing.

yes hypercam does suck but there is a way of removing that logo.... in this montage will animation done in flash be allowed or just clips from the game?

Clips from the game.
There is no need for sound in the clips.
Try to record in armorgames size or larger.
And please: do something. I need clips!

No, Camstudio doesn't record audio for me. When I record my RHR videos, I use the microphone to record my voice to Windows Sound Recorder, which also picks up the computer's audio in the process. A pretty cheap way to do it, but it works. For the TAS ones, I just use SNES9X's built in recording feature.

Is there one! MUST TRY. I think you can have live comments with that to. Just start recording your mic at the same time you start the Snes9x recording. The patch it together with e. g. Windows Movie Maker.
