I know what you mean, I'm going somewhere tomorrow. I'm also off to my cousin's house for a week or so next week. I'm still unsure on whether or not I can get internet there.

I like the idea of cloud computing too (I did my independent study for college on that). And what you say is true too.
As for the iPhone, if it can pick up a 3G or something network then you can get the internet. But it's MUCH slower than Wifi. I'm sure the iPhone can pick up Wifi as well though.

I'm sure the iPhone can pick up Wifi as well though.i think it would be great if all the citys set up wimax. they could give it to the people for free and then rent out ads to the local companys. each city could make the rules for there area but it would be best if the ads for held to just a text robin or on a new page/tab area.
@WJUK: what did you say about it in your independent study? that sounds really cool.

A wide area Wifi network would be awesome.
For my Media Studies independent study, I chose "Cloud Computing" (specifically focusing on the Google App Engine) as my topic. And I got an A; mainly because I think I made it so complex that my media studies teacher had no idea what it was talking about and just gave me an A.
