My name is Joe. I'm 33 and I'm from TN. Went to a 2 year college for computer information systems after learning that I'm more of a geek than I thought. Still no luck pursuing that career though. I've gotta say that FPA is one of the best flash games ever! It's also inspiring me to learn Flash and Actionscript. If I can't do what I love for a career, maybe I can do it on the side for fun. Looking forward to FPA 3!

Anyways, there are people (many people!) who make flash games professionally - and live off it. If you really wanna, it's a possibility; though you'd probably need something to leech out off for a while before you seriously start earning money...

I work as an overnight stocker at the moment. You'd be surprised at how many people I work with that have degrees and little to show for it.
I actually learned a bit of Java in two of my courses in school and I started off pretty well, but got a little lost at points. I still surprised myself at times though and think I'd like to try Flash just for kicks at this point. It's not like I don't have plenty of time.
BTW 33 isn't that old...

@JoRo If you have plenty of time, why not? It's a (relatively) simple language to learn, even compared to Java. Only problem is money it takes to buy a copy of flash; some $600, I believe. You could acquire it through not-as-legal means but that would be illegal, and I'd obviously not condone that, being a rightful and honest citizen of my country.
Tutorials are a-plenty, and since you're on this site anyways (which is based on a flash game), why not try?

My name is Aoife. Which doesn't sound at all like it's spelt. It's an old Celtic name. I'm Half Irish half American. My dad was born in the south of Ireland and I live up north. But my mum and her side of the family is from america. Yeah, soo... I love online platformers (well all the good ones) and yeah I love fancypants.... I'm 13, and yeah I love the U.S. and would like to go to collage and live there when I'm older.
I'm pretty creative. Love projects and adventure. I love animals and nature also. I love writing poems and stories and even making my own little mini block buster movies (im kidding, my movies are pretty lame).
