I'd say that you're wrong about the battery life on the laptops that are able to play old games.
But the rest pretty much sums up the current situation.

I suppose it depends on what kind of old games you're talking about. So it varies.
That being said, there are some brilliant old games about (as well as non-graphically intensive games) that are awesome.
