As you said they believe firmly in their leader. But the leader they believed in is dead now. Kim-Jon Un will have to establish a strong position or he might lose control over the country.

But that's the thing. Even after Kim Jong Sung died, they still worshipped him like a god (an example would be when people get cured from catarax they would bow down to Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong sung even though Kim Jong sung was dead. So it'd be really hard to go right to a democracy. It'd have to happen over time. But yes, they could START now.

I honestly don't think it'll play out like that. If it did, they'd have to open up the borders and start trading with the world at least, as a first step.
That's what I mean? They could start on building out a democracy, I didn't state HOW though.

I agree, if he's planning on doing anything drastic it'll take time (years probably) before we'd start seeing results. But it's easier to not change anything.
I doubt the other world powers would allow a Korean War at this stage. It'd be too devastating to the world economy in general.
That doesn't mean the North Koreans wouldn't try if they wanted to!

We all agreed that we think that people are afraid that Kim Jong Un is going to do something drastic, because people doubt him.Thats where my thoughts were basing from.

I can understand your sentiments, but even NK won't be stupid enough to initiate a strike against SK (or any other world power) out of the blue. No one can really stand on your side when that happens.
Think about this: Why did they do it in the first place?
(theres probably a reason, im feeling a lazy though, so i dont bother looking.)
