so what if there was a level where FPM was in some sort of really big robot or other machine. it could be awesome with moving gears and stuff.
another idea is what if FPM was in a word doc. a little like this website

@Orange: It would be cooler if the robot was part of the ground. When you get to a marked place on a level, the robot stands up. Some hill or something.

Maybe there's a dynamic robot level? Essentially you start the level thinking it's just a mechanical looking place. But then half-way through the ground starts moving and you were actually playing on a robot that was laying down (for whatever reason).
I have no idea how that could even be implemented but it'd be awesome.

It would be awesome as some kind of intro.
You play on a cool mechanical level, and when you get to the front there's a chair. FPM sit's on the chair and (as WJUK said) the ground starts moving. The robot stands up and starts to walk. The level is now vertical and FPM is trying to get out before the robot walks to far away. When you get down FPM turns around and see's the robot walking away. Now FPM remember that it is not such a smart idea leaving a HUGE robot walking his way and he decided to follow it. There's a race of time to get to the robot and try to turn it off before it hurts anyone.
I don't know how CPG can be implanted into this plot.

If done correctly, gravity-shifting would be quite good. But execution has to be well-done.
As for water-levels, I can see Brad doing something like that.

Water levels with gravity shifting! When you get to a selected point, the gravity shiftes to up. The water fly's to the roof with FPM in it.

I think that a big lake of custard would be fun, you have to run and jump on it to stop fancy pants man from sinking.

It could work and I've seen it implemented in some games (sort of). But at the current moment it's just a gimmick sorta thing, it has potential but as a level based around just that idea it's not enough. You want to add something else to give that extra "oomph" if you know what I mean.
Keep trying though, we're all (especially Brad) open to new ideas.

we do need to add more before this can become a usable idea. perhaps there are air bubbles that come up to the surface and pop. if you stand on one when it pops you fly a small distance.

How 'bout a level with something rising up to kill you, like lava or a stampeding herd of elephants. There was a level like that in W1, with rising ink, remember?
