So... no threads for LittleBigPlanet? Alright, I'll start one up. Mainly because I just created this Fancy Pants Man costume. It's about as close as I can get.

While we're on the subject, I searched for any Fancy Pants levels someone might have created. One was titled "The Ruins of Fancy Pants Studios" if I remember correctly. But the level had absolutely nothing to do with FPA! One guy even left a comment on the level pointing that out.

Neither using the search query "Fancy" or "Pants" will bring me closer to a FPA-inspired level.

I haven't played LBP yet so I'm not sure how it plays.

i have not played it yet ether, but i don't think there is a way to do the running upside down parts.Is that right?

Hmmm...

I'd imagine to run upside down or even run fast you'd need a surface made of glass (it's slippery, so it works like ice) and something to launch you at high speeds. But even that wouldn't work too well for upside down parts; you'd probably fall off quickly. But half-pipes would be very possible this way.

Now if you built some vehicle that lets you ride fast you could go upside down on said ceiling parts. But FPA has done well without vehicles. Well guess what? There are some Sonic (Genesis / Mega Drive) levels recreated on there with the loops! They just add little rocketing hoverboards for those parts. >_>

I fought about that too. But there are a lot of problems to solve with that "solution".

That kind of vehicle would be a bit complex. But I imagine there'd be three switches to control an FPM vehicle: two to make him run left and right, one to jump upward.

It'd be easier to make a level with a bunch of icy surfaces and little mechanisms that will launch you at high speeds. Then using the ice to NOT slow you down you could run fast, run fancy.

i think it's more practical to do the ice thing but less cool. why does life always make one make that kind of choose?

So I tried that halfpipe thing by going into a blank level to edit, then making a large slope of ice to build speed. Going up on the halfpipe point was... terrible. Just terrible.

you should try to take video or screenshots if you make anything worth seeing, so that those of us that don't have LBP can see your level.
