This is one of the things I really want on the forum or the main site, I've brought this up before, but nobody seemed to notice. There do seem to be a lot of pugins for it. So, what do you guys think?

Yeah, a chat would be awesome, but no Video Chat. I would be against the VC.

i have everyone on msn or skype or gtalk or AIM
(everyone as in wjuk, dax, nyubis, jm, wallross, cool, hadjg, ffa, thor, mistercheef, shadowgamer, hammy, videoguy, brad, and a bunch of others i cant remember)

and a bunch of us can do group chat. :3

Haha, there are quite a few plugins indeed, I have to say from experience w/ zbook, not many of them are great though, so we created our own chat... But zbook didn't go so well, so I came up with a new idea, to develop something similar to AIM, for apple products, and MAAYBE for the CPU, but we are only looking into it, so I can't assure anyone that's happening, but If it is, I will tell ya all.
Should we close? I think it's a fair topic, but a vote is only fair.

Honestly, it would be nice to be able to jump in and say hi without everyone IMing me randomly throughout the day, heh. I guess we could take a vote on it.
Would be fun to do a uStream or the like some time and answer questions and stuff, one day, haha.
Doodle, sketch, draw, design, fill notebooks with elaborate scenes, funny character designs, and gameplay ideas.
Find your own personal style and run with it. Craft characters and stories that you love.

We've talked about this before and the general consensus was that it was unneeded. Although Nyubis did end up creating an IRC somewhere.
@Brad: A live Q&A would be interesting. Although I'm not sure how much better than recorded video will be (you'll have more time to mull over questions there).
On the flip side, it may be quite interesting to see one of your coding sessions. It's always cool to see people developing (and subsequently: playtesting) their own game. I recall Notch doing it with MC a while back.Posted 4 months ago # -
Many of us are living in different time zones on the map, so I am thinking if there were to be a live Q&A, the people living on the other half of the Earth will have to stay up late or wake up in the middle of the night to be able to attend such a session.
As for chat, I remembered myself asking about it before, but I guess it only applies if this forum is really busy and only if there are a lot of things to talk about such that a forum topic won't hold it all. But then, we may have to tackle the problem of spamming, harassing, swearing and monitoring the traffic flow of this server.
Overall, I am neutral to this whole idea since I have not much an influence on this forum. I shall live it to you guys to decide then. Have fun!
