Right now i'm in the middle of making a nice platformer/side scroller engine. I've added all the basics like wall detection, smoother jumping (still working on making it look even better), eventually walljumping, gravity, friction etc...
I was wondering if anyone here had any more ideas/suggestions for what i should add in this engine. Thanks for the help guys!

@ Bouzolf: yeah i'll be making my character and hopefully the sprites eventually. I definantly want to make the character do something different depending on what he is actually doing. That's why fancy pants was so awesome, it was a great classic game reborn (yeah i go off topic very easily)
@Awesome: I'm just making an engine for it right now so i'm still thinking of the story. I'd like to make a fun sidescroller/platformer though. Ideas on storyline would be cool and fun to hear.
as for a demo, i might do something like that once i make it a lot better. I still have to make sprites and a storyline like above. But i'll make sure to let you guys know first. I've been rather busy with other things like my solo and school etc...

yeah I know what you mean. Life can get pretty hectic and busy at times.....
STORYLINE (courtesy of me): Every millenia, at the time when the dark moon rises to the highest point in the celestial sky... a demon of horrific proportions is released into the world. There is only one way to stop this from happening... retrieving the 5 elemental stones of power and throwing them into Mount Doom (aka where the monster is) at the time of total lunar eclipse. Too slow and the monster will have broke free already... Too fast and you will have wasted the stones...
Or maybe we can make Fancy Guitar Hero! You can record the songs, and Brad could make the hand animations and characters.

The multiple endings could work. But how would you get different endings?

Yea I think Houdini was what MC was going for. But Brandini reminds me of some sort of alcoholic beverage more than anything.
