The game has a futuristic setting involving a diabolical mastermind creating a super-weapon, with Lyle Lancer being forced to save the day.
I have an engine already in its earliest beta stages, but unfortunately it can only be play tested by three people...
Interesting, futuristic Sci-fi setting. I like those.
And the title is intriguing as well.

Yeah, but in game development (especially for games with real art) the artist has quite a lot more do to than the programmer. I've got a whole crap load of art to do.
It depends on what game you're developing, more than anything.

The most frustrating experience I've ever had with game programming is when I made a programming engine for WD that was based off of speedrun.
Then, I discovered how to do walls.
And I wanted to put them into speedrun, but they would break level 1. And make a lot of levels harder. And when I started speedrun I implemented the same code in every single frame >.< so that's the way I now do it, which is why it takes me forever to program.
But art is hard, too.

Man, it seems just the opposite in Inkman. But that's just me...
Programming games can be a real pain.
Just adding things can completely break a game, it's especially annoying when you don't realise what's breaking it only to realise you have a typo or accidentally added something you shouldn't.
Art is different from programming - Art you'll never have to really figure out how to do something, or struggle with syntax errors.
And yea, its always fun when you have something working, and then add something else, and the whole thing crashes. Good stuff.
Art is easier, it just takes longer when you want something decent. Take a game like "coma", that game had incredible art and graphics, but the programming could have been done by any nub. if twisted turns out the way we want' it to, there won't be any SERIOUSLY difficult coding, but it will take a while getting all the little simpler things to work together right. What will take a long time is for me to draw up more then 5 fully arted and at least slightly professional looking... Plus Ross just has more time to work on the game, and is slightly more devoted to the project.
BTW Ross; I did some drawing tonight, I'll show you some new stuff next time you're on msn.
