   Not at all.

   MML is a text-based format, unlike a lot of other music formats. I guess it's in TXT instead of MML just so that people can edit them in Notepad if necessary.

   I know what .txt stands for, just not sure why music would be in .txt format.

   Yup. I'm gonna do what you normally do and Link Wikipedia.

   Of course, you need some kind of special player in order to play it, like SMW's music engine.

    Anyways, you can (if I'm right) write music in Notepad. But you SHOULD use Notepad++
