nope. But you can bury a portal, I think.

nope. But you can bury a portal, I think.

Hey WJUK, can you give us a download of your map so we can see your island? Than we can have a contest to see who can build the best house on top of it!

Sure, I've moved myself to just outside the portal on the floating island. So feel free to mess with it.
It's just uploading... It's still about 10MB when zipped. Gawd, the internet is so slow here...
Oh and don't worry if it says it's 0.02MB in the game, it says that for some reason.
[EDIT] Here it is: http://www.filesonic.com/file/30367213/World1.zip
Sorry about the uploading service, I tried to find one without the stupid timer but couldn't find one. I tried TRUploader but it seems it didn't like the .zip file (maybe it was too big?).
Thanks, I'm working on a sky castle... Had to burn down all your trees...

@WJUK: You could have some of my 3GB Zymic space if you wanna. Simple FTP.
@DS: Ah Zymic! True, I forgot about that place. I believe I have some space there too.
@liph: That's quite alright. I wouldn't suggest leaving the floating island if you want to get back to it (unless you swim up the waterfall) as my world is a little... convoluted at times. Especially the Nether, portals that go everywhere!
Oh and if you do go elsewhere, most of the tracks have boosters so you can get around quite quickly.
@Everyone else: Oh and if you don't have enough blocks to create something, you can use InvEdit to get some. Or check my spawn (there are a few chests of stuff there).
I had this program that allowed you to remove snow, and change the time of day and change your spawn.

Man, I started a sweet floating island in a classic mod, but MCedit says it's save is too small or something, so it seems I won't be able to move it into Alpha.
D:
[EDIT] If you're gonna edit your inventory, do it the cool way and use "cheat engine".
@liph: There are a ton of mods for Minecraft.
@DS: It's just so much simpler with InvEdit, CE means you have to look up data values etc.
@WJUK: Filevo.com and Mediafire.com both allow pretty large files, are entirely free and don't have a stupid timer.
I've heard of Mediafire, but Filevo is new and is quite nice.
Btw this is what is on my floating island now:
Are those ever-burning Nether blocks on the right?
@Nyubis, there lightstones, they give out more light then torches so there useful for illuminating things without losing that aesthetic touch.

@Nyubis: Yes.
@wd: I believe he was talking about the "bloodstone" or whatever they are called on the far right (the blocks that are on fire). The blocks at the bottom of the picture are the lightstone blocks.
Yeah I meant those on the far right.
Well, now that I have WJUK's launcher, I guess I should try to pay the Nether a visit too.
Go ahead, have a go. You can check out my save as well if you want. XD
Alright guys, so since I'm not cheating around on this game like you all, I want to know how to play it properly and I haz question: How do you mine the blue or red ore? I've tried with a stone pickax but it doesn't give me anything when I break it down. how do I make a proper pickax for mining this diamond stuff (or whatever it is)?
Hey, I take offence to that! I don't cheat. The only time (in recent memory) that I've cheated was when I hacked a piece of grass for the floating island (otherwise it'd be all dirt on there and that wouldn't be cool).
I'm guessing:
Blue = Diamond
Red = Redstone
Basically, you need an Iron pickaxe. Iron is browny coloured ore. You can mine that with an iron pickaxe (you probably have some). Make a furnace pop in the ore (with some coal to heat it) and you'll get iron bars to make things with.
I have no business here. I've never played it...
what is minecraft?
