For now, you can't change avatars, but I've locally tested a bunch of updated avatar plugins, and the best one seems to be Bavatars.
[EDIT] Huh, sadly it seems like that html bug is still there...[EDIT 2] If you decide to go with bavatars, I suggest doing two simple edits to some of your php
First, open up bavatars-profile.php (in the plugins folder) and change line 69 to
echo bb_get_avatar( $user_id, 120 );
(value should have been 256 before)
Second, open up post.php (in your kakumei theme folder) and change line 3 to
<?php post_author_avatar_link(120); ?>http://bbpress.org/plugins/topic/bavatars/ <- Link to Bavatars

It looks different. Where have PMs gone?
One more thing, I think the numbers for the pages make the frontpage look too cluttered. On FF (latest version), I don't see the page icons (seen in Pencilmaster's post) for each of the numbers either, like hajg does. Search box also overlaps with some of the login information on FF when not logged in.

Mine has the pages too now. Seems you can tag posts now too.

Yeah because of the update in css you probably should try doing a ctrl+f5 / force-re-cache.
Tagging posts seems kinda interesting actually, don't know if that's really useful though
When it comes to PM's I'm probably gonna look up the old system to see if that ever got updated to bbPress 1.1

@DS: PMs would be nice again. Also, tagging comments just slaps them on to the actual topic so I feel it's a little defunct and useless to be down there.
@Everyone else about Gravatar: Give it a little bit to propagate.

EDIT: Interesting find i have seen, you can report user comments, not mod comments!! o_O
but yeah. its weeeeird.
This signature requires LEVEL 4 CLEARANCE, which you OBVIOUSLY dont have. Have a nice day.

There are meant to be page icons. I suggest a Ctrl+F5 (like DS said) if you want to see the new layout.
Also, new mod tools to merge topics etc.

Need moar size on avvies, and quote and report need spaces between them. I dont know if you can change that DS, but whatevz.
