Ragdolls are pretty hard to do in actionscript. It'd be best to consult an expert on this (aka someone who has actually made ragdolls in it). And I don't think anyone here has that expertise (sadly not even Brad, I think - although it's worth a shot).
There are a ton of variables to take into account, even if you want to simplify it. And you'll most likely have to employ formulas and algorithms just to get the speed and movement like a ragdoll.

Check if there are forums on ragdollsoft.com, they do nothing else.
But dont leave this forum! Not in cruelty

Hey, steve. I know this is really off topic, but would you mind answering my PM?

It depends if you want to make a ragdoll with muscle constraints i.e. a ragdollsoft ragdoll (insanely difficult), or a non-muscular constraint one such as the classic Namzorg customisable ragdoll (easier to make).
I have made 2 ragdolls before, one which sucked, and I shall not link you to it, and one I actually made in exactly 58 minutes, here: http://www.antiup.net/view/8660/
As you can see the constrains muck up at a high speed, but it still works and uses only 75 lines of code after autoformat, but I could easily compress it to under 40. I will make a better one at some points with working constraints, and I might give you that once I'm done, but in the meantime here's a few extremely useful articles:
http://www.gotoandplay.it/_articles/2004/12/inverseKinematics.php - Article on IK, seems boring, but read it through - it WILL help.
http://www.gotoandplay.it/_articles/2005/08/advCharPhysics.php - Famous Jakobsen article, very informative on advanced IK.
See, there IS someone here who knows a bit about this stuff

Hey by the way who here is Australian if you are look at my thing

Ooh, ooh. I like what you've made there. The blue one (second from the bottom of the thread)that you made, is that using a lineTo between set points, or made of just movieclips?
The second one is really nice, maybe you could add rotation to it based on the torso's speed or something? But other than that, everything seems to work really well, you think you could maybe send me the .fla of that through a PM? I can't get my constraints to work and I'd like to see how you did it. Plus I could maybe help with collisions.

just see if you can add more joints and make it so you can pick him up with your mouse by hold the left click and leting go to drop him that way we can fling him around
