I'm trying my hand at slope detection. i was browsing the interwebs and found a comment by a "DrNeroCF" stating that he used a solid rectangle and inferred 2 pints on it for his slope engine, im going to try that too, this time in AS2.

Have you also seen the video Brad (DrNeroCF) uploaded on Youtube, "called Behind the fancy pants"? I think you can just do two dots and a line inside a movieclip, make a if(ground_mc.hitTest(FPM_mc.LeftDot_mc._x, same _y, true)) {
on the main timeline, and then if that if is true you do something like FPM_mc._rotation += ((some kind of speed variable))
and adjust the FPM._y to compensate the rotation
}
I tried it once, but that was when I couldn't script very well. Maybe you can try this
No I don't have an idea;I achieved the rotation already. All I really can't do is keeping my player on the ground and jumping at the angle of the ground.
