I have no idea why a topic for this wasn't made before but here it is now!
I got it yesterday and plowed right through to the Space stage; now I'm still going through it. It can be quite troublesome, although all the sandboxy type fun makes up for it (trying to make cows - well, creatures that look like cows - orbit a planet FTW).
Anyone else got it yet?
I read about it, and it seems awesome. I tend to live off free online games, so i won't buy it though.

I tend to not like sandboxy type games, but I should probably check it out sooner or later...
Well, the only real stage that feels sandboxy is the Space stage. Although you can really do whatever you want (within the realm of possibility) in the other stages. But in the Space stage you do get these notices a lot that are quite annoying; and you can also get missions from your colonies etc.
You guys know any good games made before 2003, because my graphics card on my pc is sooooooooooooooo bad I'm just luck to play Halo: Combat Evolved (it's bad enough that when you look at a spartan or elite the armour is with)... I can't buy a new graphics card because my parents wont let me install it, and I don't have $90 on me at the second.........
Keep it clean!!!Er... well you could always try free games. There was an article a while back where there was a bunch of them. But I'd suggest you try out Mount & Blade. It's one of the three games I currently have installed onto my laptop.

It's not really like Final Fantasy RPG. There are some RPG elements, but that's about it. No turn-based combat (hell, as far away from turn-based as you get). It's like your fighting an actual battle where everything is in real time (yes, even when your on horses). Archery is real too, with higher ground having the advantage and the arrow drops according to real physic trajectory (unlike arrows from games like DW...).
When it comes to downloadable fantasy games, Tales of Pirates is the best. The graphics are better than WoW, it's MMO, it's not turn based, it's free from advertisements (the money comes from the 'item mall', where you can buy in-game items for real money. Don't worry though, all those items can be bought from other players, and i'm doing pretty good even though i have never spent any real money on the game).. Well, it's a really good game. And don't worry, it's almost completely free from all pirate-ish-ness.

Is it one of those Asian MMOs? I use to play quite a few free MMORPGs, but I got tired of them (and they were a serious time-enveloper). I now stay away from MMORPGs, too much grinding.

It's 'cos that type of MMORPG originated from Asia. You know, where it's free to play essentially. But you can pay for upgraded equipment, spells etc.
Well, there's nothing stopping western developers adopting that style though.

Personally, I prefer this style of MMORPG too. It can bring in a large amount of players and there's no need or pressure to buy anything. Works best, me thinks.
