We can all agree though, nintendo is basically digging there grave until they step there game up. The 3DS doesn't seem that great, although everyone will buy it anyways... Like I got the old DS and then everyone buys the DSlight even if they got the regular ds, and then they get the next DSi after that... Nintendo is being a bit like apple come to think of it.

Good thing their not control freaks like Apple, which would be the end of the world. I got the DS lite (cobalt), and never made the thought to sell it to buy the DSi-which is what I normally do if I don't have the money to buy Apple products. The 3DS will sell...unless Nintendo makes the sick joke that 3D without the glasses is just plain 3D modeling.
The 3DS will sell.
That's the key point here, I don't think Nintendo (or any company, in fact) will mind as long as their products continue to sell well. And if you've noticed, Nintendo have had multiple iterations of handhelds over the years. It's almost a trademark of theirs. The GBA, GBA SP etc.
Basically, as long as the money keeps coming in for Nintendo they'll be fine. Strange to think that just a generation ago, they were getting a rollicking from the PS2 with the GC.
GameCube was pretty cool. Had a bunch of nice titles, but lacked everything Sony was putting out. Graphics were fine for its time, didn't have anything similar to the RROD (at least in my experience). Nice, but not great. I think it's what moved the Wii into the entertainment-less thing it is.
All this talk about the GC makes me wanna play something on it-not on the Wii since I like that "retro" feeling I get when I play it. On a side note, should I just repurchase a game like Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, or should I just stick with a game like Double Dash?
We really are the people letting nintendo think that its okay to have bad graphics, Skyward Sword will sell, and nintendo will say, LOOK! The public doesn't care if a game like Twilight Princess has good graphics! We don't even need to try to make good graphics anymore!!!Remember, easy mode saves lives.
Almost every company has at least one major flaw. Microsoft sells crappy stuff, Apple bosses everyone around, and Nintendo puts gameplay over graphics, which is not a completely bad thing. They just need to approach the HD-user market.
Now, if we are the people who let Nintendo think it's okay to have bad graphics, would you suggest abandoning them?
EDIT: Shouldn't we discuss this in the Big Companies thread?
You missed Sony....Remember, easy mode saves lives.
Believe it or not, I intentionally left Sony out of this because they haven't been making much news to me besides E3. Haven't heard any complaints like the aforementioned companies lately.
Edit: I take that back. For people who do not care about HD whatever, that would be Sony's flaw.
