Yes, I know we have a "Favorite Music/ artist" thread but we rly didn't have a thread to discuss music overall, the evolution (or devolution) of music, or to post your music creations. Closest thing was "FPA Remixes".
Anyways, here post other peoples music you like, talk about that music, talk about music you hate, post your own musical creations (lyrics you came up with, a composition, other stuff) etc, etc.

Hey gais, I'm back , don't get too excited. So recently I started working with fl studio (formerly fruity loops studio), which is, as you may or may not know, a digital audio work station, where I'm learning to make music . So I made a couple of things, gonna share them with you in the order that I mad them. Tell me what you think.

What kind of program is this? A recording program or one that has premade sounds and you can rearrange them and change them?

Or a bit of both.

Remember, easy mode saves lives.

It's a MIDI program, you use virtual instruments to play the music you compose.

Wow, thanks guys!
The program has everything, a piano roll (which i guess is a midi) where you input notes to make a song with different instruments.
It has a sequencer, where you can input drum sequences and stuff.
A mixer to add effects and control volume levels and stuff.
and whole bunch of other stuff. Since I just got the program like this year, I can't tell you too much about it, lol.

About the last song:

At the point where it ends, you've basically created a really nice intro. Add something really awesome here and turn up the volume. Make sure people get the intro for what it is.

[EDIT] After listening to your three uploads I gotta say that they all sound like intros to something even more awesome.

Make that even more awesome part and you're good to go!

Oh, and mixcraft is pretty awesome. It's only a hundred bucks too. Try the trial version.

wow thanks DS, a lot! Well, I'm planning on learning the different kinds of basses now. I'm also learning how to make up sweeps and down sweeps. I'll keep everyone updated. Anyways, i Know this guy, who's helping me, so hear his stuff, pretty damn awesome.

Jumping in here. I agree that the short segments sound like intros to something BIG, some crescendo of magnitude. You know? Nice though, the third one is the best, IMHO.

I've been working on a website for a client who records his own music, and it is pretty good. I don't know what software he uses, but could find out. So far, there are 13 songs BUT I don't have all the images and text for the lyrics as yet. I'll ask him what software but I have a feeling he uses more than one program.

Also, he plays guitar and piano, so I know he records some of that but SOME is generated with software.

anyways, i can't seem to get anywhere past the intro.... i made this
http://www.box.net/shared/125t0ie93r made the sounds my self (think) with a plugin called "synth1" that was free and the sweep i made with another synth that came with the program called 3x osc. I made this like 1 week ago.

@ds: haha, well, in all honesty, to make metal I need to record myself playing guitar.
I don't know how to play guitar.
I want to focus on trance.
