Hey Everyone!
I have been working on this flash game for a while now, and I think it is finally ready to be shown. I would love to hear what everyone thinks about it.
This beta has 5 levels and the final version will have 20.
And in case anyone was wondering, it is based off of the Wii Play minigame: Tanks.
We were just talking about this type of spam.

EDIT: I didn't read that it was based off the Wii game, but I noticed right away. I LOVED THAT GAME!!! I want the full version to be out soon.

Though, the category is 'Your Work,' so I don't know how posting one's work would be considered spam...
I don't consider it spam, but we were talking about becoming a trusted member on a forum and slipping spam in secretly. This type of thing.

That's pretty cool. I remember playing tank games like this.
One thing though, is maybe turn off friendly fire. Especially on the easier modes. Not a biggy, but it can be frustrating when you accidentally shoot into the wall straight in front of you and die.
But if you shoot twice the bullets just hit each other and explode.
I suppose, but I just didn't think that you could kill yourself like that. I suppose it is more realistic.

I noticed some of my friends would accidentally kill themselves like that too, but it is part of the challenge when your own bullets that missed start coming back at you. I tried to offset that by giving the medium and easy modes a lot of lives.
Yea I suppose you're right. It does add another element if you have to dodge your own bullets. It's just I had a cheap death straight away when I accidentally shot straight at the wall in front in level 1.

After some thought, I realized that some people would probably get really frustrated by their own bullets killing them, even if they have a lot of lives. I took you advice and made the tank invincible from its own bullets on easy mode.
This will probably sacrifice a large amount of bonus points though, so it is mostly for people that just want to play through and not worry about the score.

Do you think I am introducing the tough tanks too early?
I could make the beginning levels a bit easier to give the player more time to get used to the controls and strategy if you think that would help.
The enemies shoot faster than you mostly because they can't shoot nearly as many bullets as you can, but I agree they do get pretty fast really early in the game.
How about I make their bullets slightly faster for each difficulty level?
Well on the lower difficulty settings, being invincible from your own bullets does make sense to me. Maybe you can cut down on the amount of lives you give them too then, because 30 seems like quite a lot.
