hmmm this project looks awesome.... i think u should make the demo in LIMBO!!....something like either a white background...just plain white or sumthin with just shapes floating around in the background ...ass for the guy i liked him better when he was a stick ....no offense i just love stick figures (hence the playage of fancy pants)...but id like to see something cool in this game to do with ability....maybe like touch a block of metal and his hand turns to metal or sumthin like that....but what program are you using to animate this?

I'm using Adobe Flash, and it generally costs a few hundred dollars.
ActionScript is actually the programming language that we're using to code it, it doesn't really have anything to do with generating the images themselves.

As i previously explained, actionscript is not something you can download, it is simply a language for programming. I can't give you a download link for the language of Spanish? Of course not! You can't just download a language, you can learn it, but you can't download it. You can, however, download Flash, but as I also previously stated, Flash costs a few hundred dollars.

Actionscript is a language, and as such it is free to use, and you could write the code in Notepad if you so chose. However, nothing will happen until you turn that Actionscript text into a .swf (Flash file). In order to do that, you need Adobe Flash, the program, which costs money.

Adobe does offer a free, although less powerful alternative called Flex. I don't know much about it, but it's worth looking into if you want something for free.

wow. lots more progress on twisted since i've been gone. i like the new guy...its just he reminds me of Freddy Krueger...maybe you can work a little on the face and such. the rest is great. looks like it'll animate easily. g'd job.

Ah, well... Ross talked me out of using the other guy for the main character.
We have, however, re-redesigned the main character and now I'd like to have your input.

Don't get me wrong, we'll probably still be using the other guy, just not as the main character. We're going to have quite a few NPC's, so consider that just a sneak preview of one of the other characters in our twisted plot-line.

in all honesty, and not to be harsh, i don't like it... i think he looks "vainy"... i liked the other 1 betr. more smooth.

Ok, a new engine build might be coming very soon. I won't be using the basic training level for this demo,mainly because it's very limiting. For a few of you there will be a fair few new moves, but a lot of people have already seen the halfway version.

The new sprites and Character design will also be included, and some non fudged-up slopes. Of course there will probably be a fair few glitches, so make sure they're all reported to me or Garrett.
