Hair 2.0

For your enjoyment, a picture of Fancy Pants Man's hair blowing in the wind as he rides on a moving platform. Yes, his hair reacts to motion in game now even if he's not running, and yes, I am really that insane.

How many games have you created, before Fancy Pants Adventure?

I saw a few ones in Kongregate, but FPA is so cooler than those… I can’t believe it is your first super-production! (And I do consider it a super production!)

How many people are involved in the game design? How did you learn game programming? Do you have any books you recommend?

(Sorry for asking so many questions!)

Foo, no worries, that’s what the internet is for, isn’t it? The actual game design is only me, but I’m letting the cameo artists design their own levels. API (Geier Arnold) did the music for the last one. All of the code, animation, gameplay concept, and all of the ‘core’ levels are all done by me. I learned by just tearing through a few of the samples that came with flash mx, then I just fooled around with the program for a few years. Snowblitz was my first real game, FPA was my second, and before I got into programming, I made a few stop motion videos, which are on my profile on newgrounds.com. I really haven’t made that many games yet, though I have quite a few more planned even after world 2. If you want to learn from books, i really wouldn’t know what to recommend, I kind of just picked it up on my own after awhile…

you also made Nuclear Eagle! man… i love that game, too. I just spent 30 minutes playing that game… again. Last time i played it for 2 hours just throwing people all over the place and not caring much for the babies. But it’s still fun.
