1.5 released!

Version 1.5 is released, gah, finally! If you’re a site hosting my game, grab the latest version from here, if there are any sites that you guys especially like, tell them to update, or give me their address and I’ll try to get ahold of them.

Next up on the to-do list: Standalone versions with full quality audio. Woo!

I’ve also been getting requests for FPA art lately, would anyone be interested in some icons, desktop wallpapers, or things like that?

    Hey, I’d just like to say that the snail shell is sooo much better now. I used to struggle with it but now it… I dunno, whatever you did, it works. And the hole in level 2 is much improved. Keep it up!

    gbuch: The version that I link to is just the swf file, that gets embedded into web sites, the web pages makes a boarder so you don’t see all that crazy stuff. It’s all very sloppy…

    VideoGuy: Haha, addicting games, I just email them 😛

    IQ52: Yes, you press T to see the time, but you have to start playing by the ‘start game’ door. I didn’t want to advertise that too much, as I don’t want to make people feel like they have a time limit…

    IQ: Yeah, if you could just go through level 1, it would shave too much time off and be kinda unfair.

    VG: Don’t know, it’s exclusive to AG until september, but if it’s sitelocked, they’re sometimes lenient with it (so if you see the game branded on a different site, don’t worry).

    i love this game!!! i noticed that in the updated version theres those mouses again! heh i loved those dudes.
    and also are you going to make another fp? like world 3 or something? it would be totally cool;; i’d play it 😀

    So, um, silly thing happened: I was playing around on Level 3, when, as I was shooting up from the cannon, the spider that is normally up on the platform decided it would instead fall straight down, through it.

    I tied replicating it, but to no avail. I assume I was just moving too fast, at exactly the wrong frame, or some other set of incredibly rare events. What I did manage to screen-capture was this spider: http://img357.imageshack.us/img357/3379/22032612gs8.jpg

    He was just standing there, minding his own business, bobbing his head up and down. Fancy Pants man decided he would take a little nap under its watchful eye.

    hawkaris: Heh, you seem to be one of the first to file a bug report and actually get it. With the frame based code, it’s possible to have instances where just the wrong frame comes at just the wrong time, and have weird things like that happen. Plus, hitTesting seems to be terribly unreliable when the screen is moving. Not to mention, my code is pretty sloppy. Hey, I’m here to make games, not code databases! But anyways, I’ll try to have a look at that, there might be a quick fix for that…

    Hm, I was thinking more of icons for AIM or whatnot not really system icons, I really don’t know how to make those, and I don’t have Vista.

    I’m also going to poke around in the platform code for just a bit more before I get more sites to update, but they’re on the list.
