Surprises…

Alright guys, to try to simultaneously fan the flames and squash hopes at the same time here.

So as you’ve probably noticed, I’m super busy right now, which is bad for the weekly reports, but trust me, is very good for World 3 (a combination of working on really cool later levels, in addition to ???).

As for the beta / demo, got a few awesome surprises brewing right now that will be out first, so that’s still a bit of a ways off.

Going to try go get a video up this Friday (today?), but we’ll see, more important serious business to attend to first.

What could be a-brewing, though? Hmmmmm…

    FPM should have a pet snail! No, because it would be stomped on, kicked around, and used as a golf ball. Hm, maybe not….
    @davismouse: PC forever!

    The Fancypants fans have descended to an unbelievably low level. We seem to have lost all interest in fancypants. Our only interest now seems to be getting the post count over 400.

    (trans.:w3 is so awesome! hey guys i was wondering whats so bad about double commenting? i know it takes up more space, but it also gives you more comments to get to 400, maybe 500, i dunno. today i found out something so weird. at school we have macbooks and my document thing (im really not sure what it is) that looks like a house looks EXACTLY like my real house!
    one more thing: how much wood would a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood??) post#364

  15. davismouse

    @ wingdemon im not sure but its kinda fun to write binary.
    POLL: cookies or brownies?
    RIDDLE: a man left for vacation on friday. he stayed away for 2 days, then came home on friday. how is this possible?

  16. Pieman

    How bout this one?

    Ahem: thirty white horses on a red hill. First they champ, then they stamp, and then they stand still. What are the horses?

  17. Julius

    @davismouse The man went in a high-speed rocket into space for 2 days. He was traveling very close to the speed of light, and so his frame of reference shifted. The length of his trip according to the clock on board the rocket was 2 days. Upon arriving, he found out that according to the time on Earth, he was gone for 2 weeks, or 14 days. This means that he returned home on Friday. This obviously is not the answer you expected, however it is theoretically plausible. (See also, special relativity).

  18. Aubrey

    Wow. applause for Julius! was just going to say the cowboy came from the future and had a time machine. But the science thing works too…..

  19. TheKomputerGeek

    @Julius: BTW, it’s Einstein’s Theory of Relativity, not Special Relativity.

    Oh, and if he were gone for 2 days almost at the speed of light, he would actually be 14.28 YEARS in the future, not 14 days.

  20. Julius

    @TheKomputerGeek Part 1, yes, Einstein created E=mc^2 (the theory of relativity aka the Theory of Special Relativity) Which converts mass of matter to energy, and energy to mass of matter. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special_relativity Special Relativity is similar, but includes work done after Einstein himself… Max Planck, Hermann Minkowski etc.

    Part 2, Yes, I fudged the numbers a tad. However, it would still work, he just arrives back on a Friday…

    So, if you don’t mind, TheKomputerGeek, stop nitpicking. It is the concept that matters. This is the second time you have attempted to correct me, and we were both right each time. Us nerds know just as much as you geeks. Yes, I am a Nerd. Not a Geek. There is a difference! http://xkcd.com/747/

  21. wingdemon

    @Julius, Einstein never meant to derive E = MC^2,ie original formula was for M = E/C^2, since he wanted to find out the proper value of ‘Mass’ our modern science perverted it into E =MC^2.

    count 378 need 23 more.

  22. Frubban

    @AJ32

    19 more to go!

    But seriously, i agree. If anyone wants to know the amount of comments, you can just look right under the post name.

  23. wingdemon

    @Frubban, & @atomic1fire, were trying to get 401, not 400.

    18 more to go.

    @atomic1fire, well, WJUK said on the forum the demo for W2 was released 3 months before the actual game, and the way the games progressing i’m expecting it around October 2011. so yeah. Demo maybe around summer 2011? well, that’s my guess. :s.

  24. Frubban

    @wingdemon’s second last post, I know. 😉 Weren’t I the one who decoded it would be 4001? Anyways, did i mess up the numbers? 😮

    @Wingdemon’s last post, correct spelling = Grammar.

    …I think. :p
